Acerca de esta escucha
There are many people whose brains are considered to be "wired" differently. They think in different patterns and have different wants and needs from other people who are considered to have neurotypical brain thoughts and patterns. The different "brain wiring" has been classified as autistic spectrum disorder, schizotypal and schizoid disorders, and Asperger's syndrome.
This audiobook seeks to identify how people with schizoid personality disorder and Asperger's syndrome may process or think differently from others. The concepts can be also used and considered in those who have personality disorders such as OCPD. It seeks to bridge the gap between the behaviors that are different between neurotypicals and those on the spectrums. It seeks to draw out the patterns and to define the reasons that both sides struggle to understand and meet each other's needs.
I hope that this book will help those from both thinking patterns to better understand one another. I am writing this book as a neurotypical wife of a man on the spectrum and a mother of children with special needs. As an author, wellness coach, and mentor, I have learned through many experiences how to try to see the world through many other perspectives.
I have tried to write this book in a way that is friendly and direct for those who are on the spectrum, but please feel free to write to me at FlurriesOfSnow@gmail.com in order to clarify something if it is not written in a way that you are able to understand. The best thing that we can all do is seek to better understand each other if we are able to. It provides for improved relationships overall.
The first thing that I want to mention is that while this book is for schizoids, OCPDers, and those on the autism spectrum (Asperger's), I realize that there are minor differences in how schizoids think and process things as compared to how those with Asperger's may think.

Although having Asperger syndrome (AS) can make romantic relations difficult, having a fulfilling relationship with an Asperger man is certainly not impossible. A woman in love with a man with AS may interpret his difficulties with communication and socialisation as a lack of interest in the relationship. He may vacillate between being gentle and caring to seeming cold and distant. She may find his behaviour hard to understand, resulting in feelings of loneliness, isolation and confusion.

There is a subset of people who are different from the normal population. Their brains are wired a bit differently, or they went through experiences in their lives that contributed to their introversion, social avoidance, and shyness. They learned to be self-sufficient instead of relying on others and on society for their needs. Some of these shy individuals who we classify as loners may be afflicted with a disorder called schizoid personality disorder.

Very tailored to Asperger's.
Easy to read. Well performed. Much more useful for Asperger's as opposed to the other conditions mentioned.

Thank you
Thank you for making me feel like I’m not crazy . The circle of subjects truly are starting to get to me . I have learned over time to deal with the lack of empathy , compassion and understanding somewhat . But the mind blindness is mind blowing and can cause a NT so much hurt and anger if they don’t comprehend the difference in brain wiring . It’s still very difficult to live with daily .

There is no information here.
The author is not a doctor. She is not a specialist. She is not a subject matter expert. This reads like a middle school or high school class report on personality disorders. There is no scientific or medical information on disorders or behaviors. This is a series of opinions, assumptions, and anecdotal observations that are overgeneralized and sometimes very misleading and/or inaccurate. Anyone who doesn't have a good understanding of PDs and ASD could be dangerously misled by the statements in this book. Not recommended.
