Loved it!!

Such a sweet story with so much action and excitement!! Not mention the sexual chemistry! There weren't many hit scenes but the ones they had were GOOD. I would recommend!

Funny, Steamy Mafia Romance!

This steamy mafia romance is witty, and charming with a bit of suspense. Lucy had a heartrending childhood that has made her smart, independent, and brave. She is a college student at a prestigious college when she meets the dangerous, sexy Asher Black. Due to a misunderstanding, she calls the police on him and his club. She is able to hide her identity so they don't know it was her. It took awhile but Asher was able to find her. Asher is not only a mafia fixer, he is a brilliant entrepreneur. After all his searching for Lucy, he realizes she is the only person he can trust to be his fake fiance to protect his company. Asher was an enigma that was hard to pin down. He worked for the mafia, was an expert at intimidation, yet he was so sweet and swoony. Lucy thought he was going to kill her at the beginning, but the more she learned of him, the safer she felt. They were great together when they could let loose and be young together. I really cracked up at Lucy's inner rambling dialog.
Narrator, Lacy Laurel, does a terrific job capturing each characters personality. Her voice changes were distinct and her intonations make you feel the full range of Asher and Lucy's emotions.
I enjoyed this was heart pounding, funny, and sexy romance.

Loved this story! Ended too quickly! I need more Asher and Lucy! What a great mixture of drama, action, and humor.

I love a good Mafia romance

Asher Black is a sexy take charge man that you can't help fa in love with. Lucy someone that has a wall that needs to be broken down and Asher is just the one to do it. The narration was great and will check out more books read by Lacy Laurel.

Not worth a second read

I wouldn't read again personally. Story itself is good but I can not stand the female character. felt like she was stuck up and despite that dude did nothing but protect her she questioned everyone and acted like a brat.

This is a story I have and will listen to again.

This is the third time that I have listened to this story and have come away loving it even more. To the point that I have decided to check out some of the authors other "interracial romance" themed novels. She has gotten me as a new fan looking to sharing her stories with others.

Sweet romance with adorable heroine

I LOL'd several times during this story. The narrator's internal monologue is frequently hilarious. Seen a few complaints about the narrator but I think she's fine doing the story of a 20 year old college student. NOT the typical dark Mafia romance.
