I was intrigued the whole time, captivating at it's core. A true relic for women everywhere. It's relatable. Mysterious. Wonderfully narrated.

As Good as True

Struggled to finish the book . Lots of characters to keep track of while reading.

Tragic and real!

The author made the main character’s world come to life, outlines the struggles of many who come to this country and the bigotry they face. It’s a very sad story of a woman unable to know and assert herself until later in life, and the effects this has on her family.

Slow and a bit drawn out

The flashbacks are so distracting after awhile; you care about the narrator but you get tired of her; compelling in places

Awesome!

My first audio book... I’m hooked. I commute about an hour... great way to spend that time.
