Respected across stage and screen, Sophie Okonedo has had a long and versatile career beginning in theatre and making her way up the Hollywood ladder. Earning an Academy Award nomination in 2004 for her role in Hotel Rwanda, the celebrated British actress has starred in The Hollow Crown, The Slap, Undercover and The Secret Life of Bees, to name only a few, and has received BAFTA and Golden Globe nominations for her work across TV and film.
Okonedo takes on the role of Mary Debenham, the 28-year-old governess to the Armstrong household in Agatha Christie's infamous murder mystery. Sophie talks to us about her love of theatre, how voice acting differs from her usual roles onscreen and what we can expect from her interpretation of Mary Debenham.
