I adore this woman!

11 minutes of my favorite new author. it was incredible to get inside her head for a moment. Can't wait for her next two - Priory and BS4! I hope Alana Kerr Collins will return!

Interesting Discussion

I enjoyed listening to this. My concern is the amount of time readers have to wait in between books. It’s difficult to remain interested when it’s 2 or 3 or 4 years between the volumes. And listening to this interview leads me to believe that we aren’t going to have Books 5,6 or 7 any time soon. I fear I may not have the opportunity to know what happens in the end. So do I continue the saga knowing that there are three books left and that we could be looking at a 10-year wait before the finish. I guess I have some difficulty with this in that I don’t understand why it should take this long if you have the story lined out and know you have 7 books to write. As good as these are I feel that the frustration level of having to wait so long between books may be worse than just moving on to some other series. And I don’t get the feeling that this author is in the least bit concerned about what she is asking of fans of this series. Am I to always have to go back and basically reread the previous book to remember characters & situations & details? I think that there is some responsibility on the author’s part to provide readers with a timely interval between books. Or perhaps, rather than 3 more books, just have one that will finish the saga. All the story should be there — just make the book three times as long & have it on the Stan’s page n 18 months. Please respect loyal fans and don’t make us wait another 6-10 years to find out how this story ends. That’s just too long. Way too long. It’s defeating to think we must wait for “when it comes it’ll happen”.
