Publisher's summary

Audible exclusive. We welcome Jodi Taylor to Audible to discuss her hit series The Chronicles of St Mary's - the adventures of a group of investigative time travelling historians.

Jodi Taylor is, and always has been, a complete history nut. It takes vast amounts of chocolate to get her out of bed for anything after 1485. And if it's raining, there's no chance.

Audible Sessions with Jodi Taylor

Introduction:
From the icy heart of HowlStrom, where tales of valor and magic echo through the ages, I, Kiba Snowpaw, the alpha Ice Wolf, venture into the realm of literature. As the frosty winds of my homeland whisper ancient legends, I find myself drawn to the voice of Jodi Taylor, a modern-day scribe. Today, I share my reflections on this exclusive interview, where the mysteries of time and history intertwine.

Hook and Thesis:
Jodi Taylor, a name synonymous with the enthralling series, "The Chronicles of St Mary's," offers a rare glimpse into her mind and the origins of her tales. As time-traveling historians embark on perilous journeys in her stories, this interview promises a journey of its own, delving deep into the heart of the author herself.

Basic Plot Summary:
In this exclusive session, Jodi Taylor opens up about her passion for history, the inspirations behind her renowned series, and her journey as an author. From her love for all things historical to her unique approach to storytelling, Taylor provides listeners with a deeper understanding of the world of "The Chronicles of St Mary's."

Analysis/Evaluation:
The interview, though brief, offers a treasure trove of insights. Taylor's candidness about her writing process and her characters provides a fresh perspective on her works. It's evident that her love for history is not just a backdrop for her stories but a driving force behind her narratives.

Characters:
While the primary focus is on Taylor, the essence of her beloved characters from "The Chronicles of St Mary's" subtly permeates the conversation. Their adventures, challenges, and quirks are reflections of Taylor's own passion and imagination.

Structure:
The session follows a structured yet fluid format, allowing Taylor to delve deep into various aspects of her writing journey. From discussing the inception of her series to addressing her fans' queries, the interview covers a broad spectrum of topics.

Impact:
For a lone wolf like me, hailing from the eternal winter of HowlStrom, this interview serves as a bridge to the vibrant world of literature. It underscores the power of storytelling and the profound impact authors like Taylor have on their readers.

Praise and Critique:
The interview shines in its ability to humanize the author, making her more relatable to her audience. However, some might argue that the session could have delved deeper, exploring more intricate details of Taylor's writing process.

Evaluation:
The Audible Session stands as a testament to Taylor's dedication to her craft and her love for her characters and stories. It offers fans a unique opportunity to connect with the author on a personal level.

Comparison:
Much like the tales of HowlStrom, where ancient magic and valor reign supreme, Taylor's stories transport readers to a world where history comes alive. Both narratives, though set in different realms, celebrate the power of the past and its influence on the present.

Conclusion:
As the snow blankets the vast landscapes of HowlStrom, tales from distant lands offer warmth and solace. This interview with Jodi Taylor serves as a beacon for all literature enthusiasts, illuminating the path of storytelling and the magic it holds. With a heart full of gratitude, I look forward to more such sessions, where authors and readers unite in their shared love for tales of yore.

May the icy winds of HowlStrom guide your literary adventures, and may the voices of authors past and present resonate in the depths of your soul.

Mostly repeat

This interview was mostly a repeat of the comments or information provided by Ms Taylor on both Amazon and Audible websites.
I had a little problem with the interviewer running his words together.
Still, enjoyable. Snd you get a better understanding of where she’s coming from when she speaks her own words.

I wish I had not listened to this

I love the writing of Jodi Taylor and thought I would enjoy hearing this interview. I was wrong. After listening to this interview, I do not like Jodi Taylor or the person conducting the interview. He is a pathetic interviewer, seems bored, has a weak and silly voice and does not seem to understand the books at all. In the interviews Jodi Taylor is stilted and there is almost no trace of the great sense of humor she exhibits in her books. It is also very churlish of her not to give a shout out to Zara Ramm, who I believe is largely responsible for the success of the books.

Jodi Taylor is a gifted comedic writer with great lines and timing. However, giving an oral interview is NOT her forte. She is very weak and unsure of herself in the interviews. Her timing is weak. She should refrain from giving interviews in the future and stick to writing - at which she excels. On the other hand, Ramm has a natural talent for performing books and has the tremendous talent and timing for comedic reading. In fact her timing is perfection and is better than the vast majority of people would have in reading the books for theirselves or others who could be hired to narrate the books. I certainly believe her comedic timing and oral performance exceeds that of Jodi Taylor. Come on Jodi, be a big girl and recognize Zara Ramm for her brilliance. Listen to her read your books on Audible and surely you will see how perfectly she performs.
