Good Book - Bad Narration

A lot of things have been said about Karrine Steffans in the media both good and bad. I chose this book after watching an account of abuses of females in the Hip Hop culture. After reading this however, I have changed my perception of her as a victim. She's really a self serving egomaniac who believes that she was put on this earth to be taken care of and helped out.

Whether an effect of her early childhood abuse or not is anyone's guess but she's reading her own story here (badly might I add) and really does play the victim while at the same time admitting to having used sex to manipulate men in to taking care of her, giving her money and paying her bills. I do find it courageous that she was willing to call out all of the men who she had affairs with over the years. A very interesting read if you can get over the bad narration.

What a sad book

The narrator did a good job pulling me into the story. Great great great job

Amazing, Empowering, and True

I can't believe im just now reading this title after how long ago it was published but im grateful for the wait of the read because it is during an era when women are congratulated for their courage of standing in their truth. I have seen interviews where people ask why she disclosed the names of her partners and it just showed they missed the WHOLE point of the story and Book! But Kudos for the growth in this Author and her story so eloquently told by herself and in her voice! Great read!

Best book

The best book I’ve read in a while, so entertaining. I went through so many emotions.. especially tears. God bless you Karrine for being able to tell your story, thank you for sharing.

very dope book and very interesting and was a great listen five star book 🙌

it's her life. can't be upset!

No one can be upset either her telling the story of HER life. its hers and if people wanted to be represented better they should have behaved better.

I wish there was more on what she was doing at the time she wrote the book and the prayer process and what it took to get it together.

no doubt the editing team possibly took that out and still packaged her as this harlequin when really shes a survivor of serial abuse throughout her life.

FOOLED!!!

This was not what I expected, it is so much better. Yes it took me years to even decide to read and I went in judging her before I could make my own opinion about this young lady. I am in awe with her ups and downs and her growth. This is what her story was about, not to shame these men in the industry. I'm so intrigued, that I'm on the next book and will read "Vindicated". excellent story!

She told her story as only she could. I recommend because it's a compelling story!
