Publisher's Summary

Ezeulu is worshipped by the six villages of Umuaro. But he is beginning to find his authority increasingly under threat. Yet he still feels he must be untouchable - surely he is an arrow in the bow of his God? Armed with this belief, he is prepared to lead his people, even if it means destruction and annihilation. Yet the people will not be so easily dominated.

Bedtime Story

My children love listening to stories when they go to be and now I have started playing them Audible books at night.

As a Nigerian living in England with English children, I always tell them stories about Nigeria however, since I started playing them this story, they love it and look forward to hearing it every night.

The richness of words and imagery is fantastic and we all love to listen to it.

I plan to get more Chinua books which I grew up reading as a kid and now my children can also enjoy.

The relevance of African Stories

The stories of the people of Africa people by African people is I think the underestimated currency that we as Africans possess in which to remind the world of our value to and within the human family.

A moving account of insidious change

Narrator was great. The Story is a true African epic rooted in truth. Excellent Proverbs.
