Publisher's summary

Marissa is due for a little happily ever after. After all, she did kill the evil fairy godmother, end a war, and snag a sweet promotion within the fairy godfather's magical problem solving agency. But between maintaining a relationship with someone whose amorous advances can cause third-degree burns; dealing with a killer poodle infestation; and helping her best friend, Princess Ari, learn to wield spells more powerful than curing a hangover; she's not getting as much peace and quiet as she hoped. When an enemy from her past appears to exact a terrible revenge, Marissa's life goes from hectic to hell on Earth. With Grimm inexplicably gone and Ari trapped by a sleeping spell, Marissa decides to fight fire with hellfire - and accidentally begins a countdown to the apocalypse. With the end of days extremely nigh, Marissa will have to master royal politics, demonic law, and biblical plagues in a hurry - because even the end of the world can't keep the agency from opening for business....

Critic reviews

"Nelson is no one-hit wonder, as this new tale is as dark and wondrously twisted as the first." ( RT Book Reviews)

Marissa is being manipulated to bring on the end of the world.

So much is depending on how Marissa can manipulate the evil doers and save the world. I enjoy the dialogue so much. It's snarky and funny. I wish there was less time with Marissa in jeopardy and more time with her and Liam.

Not as good as I had hoped

I feel this book is ho hum. The narrators voice is rather indifferent to the heroine and lacks personality. It did not keep my interest, although I listened anyway. The story did not make me feel as if I were there, nor feel any emotions of the characters. Just, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

An enjoyable listen!!!

I have been having trouble recently finding a good book. This book was a pleasant surprise. I found my self on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen. I think it's worth a credit.

Brilliant blend of humor, imagination, drama and adventure.

Nelson brilliantly balances, blends and intertwines a fantastic mix of humor, imagination, drama and adventure. Cooney delivers it beautifully, in a delightful presentation.
