Great conclusion

This final book in the Dark Space series is a fitting closing for the entire cast of characters, and is filled with non-stop action and reveals. There are a ton of answers here on Omnius, the Immortals, the Sythians, the history of the human race, etc. Omnius must finally answer for his crimes and everyone must choose sides.

I was pleasantly surprised to see Atta become a useful character and wished she had been that way in prior books. Destra and Alara are pretty much useless in this novel, and Ethan mostly just sails through on auto pilot. Atton makes amazingly bad (but highly entertaining) choices throughout the whole novel that keeps things interesting. There is a bizarre subplot where Ethan is accused of cheating, but he really doesn't, and Alara acts completely insane from that point forward. The ending is a fitting conclusion but goes heavy on the explanations and it doesn't always make sense. The book also tends to hit you over the head about "freedom" and actually ended up cheapening death.

For the audiobook, the narration continued to be top notch with the only misses being the child voices... the narrator can only do one type of child voice, and that is the completely annoying kind.

Overall, well worth a read/listen and a great closure to the series.

Can’t recommend it

I’ve tried hard to really get into this series. Parts of it I found very enjoyable. I thought the characters were interesting. At first, I even liked the thought of an AI with a God complex. But eventually I concluded that the story boiled down to a mockery of Christianity., and that ruined it for me.

Wonderful story and a great series

Wonderful story I have followed this series from the beginning Armageddon had a lot of action and a lot of twist and turns I have really enjoyed this whole series great characters and the narrator did a great job

Like all the Dark Space books this was fun. A background in the series is a must
