This is the first episode in the series "Artist Profile" where I talk about the life of noteworthy Arabic Calligraphers who have contributed immensely to this beautiful field of Arabic Calligraphy! Vocal Corrections: At 59 secs, the script is not Ruqa, it is Ri’qa and at 4 mins and 53 secs:  He died in 940 and not 1940.

Yaqut Al Musta'simi was not a direct student of Ibn Muqla, but was a student of a calligrapher from the direct line of calligrapher Ibn al Bawwab.
