Are You Hungry? is a collection of short stories, parables, noir fiction and poems.

The nineteen-piece compilation revolves around the theme of hunger, whether the hunger is literal, as in a malnourished man in Brooklyn or a homeless couple in San Francisco, or metaphorical, as in the hunger for romantic love, life experience, acceptance by family, or to garner status.

Many of the stories have karmic twists, in the vein of short story writer O. Henry.

Other pieces are gritty, terse and hyperbolic, like Raymond Chandler.
