Publisher's Summary

"You're sure she will feel pain...?" The words of his boss should have bothered Ivan Petrovic. As it was, he was too distracted by what was in the crate to absorb them fully.

The special delivery for the volatile Chicago mobster, Dimitri Molenski, had just been opened and revealed the most perfect woman Ivan had ever seen...except she was no woman, it was a machine. A perfect human form robot.

Molenski's strange behavior at the sight of his custom-made "Sinthetica" robot at first intrigued Ivan, then downright scared him. His ominous words made it clear that the machine was no mere sex bot and that there was something far more sinister at play. The mystery would have to wait though, Ivan doesn't realize it then, but opening the crate had set in motion a chain of events that may just bring Molenski's empire crashing down on both their heads.

Awful.

After listening to his America Falls series I was anxious to listen to another book by this author. I am soooo disappointed in this book. I could only get a few chapters in and had to turn it back in. The language and story line are very low class and no class.
I really think this author has talents that were wasted in this type of trash.

Short, but good.

I received this audio book in return for leaving an honest review.

A good listen, the scenes are quite graphic but in fitting with the story. Like a previous listener, at one point I wondered if I should continue. Things got pretty dark.

The story wrapped up well, though, and I have to say I enjoyed it. I particularly enjoyed the narration.

Great ai/robot story inside a mob style setup.

Interestingly made story, based in the near future set inside a russian maffia in chicago background.

The story is gory, violent and has some adult scenes, but is very worth the listen/read.
The plot goes along at a decent speed with good branching and decent twists.

Narration is good, well-paced and the accents are well enough done to differentiate characters.

It's a shame that it was only 4hours long

A sadistic mobster gets a robot that's identical to girl he once knew when he was younger. The mobster demands the robot can feel pain, and takes it to his red room.
It was at this point I was questioning if I wanted to continue on with this book as there was already some really dark undertones of violence that you'd expect from a mobster, but the way the book is written to describe it was a little unsettling to say the least.
I continued anyway and was not disappointed.
