Totally awesome!!!

I loved this book. This was my first experience with Layla Hagen and I am a fan. The story was well developed along with all the characters. Although you can sort of see where the story goes (although, once you read a few romance novels, you should anyway), it's definitely worth the listen.

The basis for this story is about a single girl recovering from heart ache but well passed the initial hurt. She's independent and self sufficient. The guy is recovering from his own heart ache in losing his wife to illness. He is also at a point where he's open to finding love again, although a bit hesitant. This story doesn't really focus on the previous relationships. It's really more of a gloss over and it focuses on who they are now and moving forward as a couple. Their work is an overlay but not really a major part of the story. The story is simply sweet.

The book also includes various support characters that have been setup for their own stories. The ending will leave no doubt has to who's story is told in book 2. The good thing about them though is that you are just as invested in their stories as you are with Landon and Maddie.

As always, Sebastian York and Andi Arndt are amazing and the perfect voices for these characters. There are a few skipping issues but nothing that causes the story to be less impactfull.

Totally Awesome

This book was excellent from beginning to end. Landon and Maddie are the cutest couple. The foreplay between them made me laugh. The narrators are awesome.

I have found a new author!! Looking forward to reading the next installments and what better than to have them read by Andi and Seabastian!! This is a must read!!

Story: Characters - Landon and Maddie - This was a cute story. I liked the way their relationship developed and how Maddie tried to protect her heart by keeping a distance. The end was pretty anticlimactic but overall a cute story.

Narration: Sebastian York, Andi Arndt - Two of my favorite narrators so I loved it.

Fall in love

I fell in love with this book. It has all of the feels. Landon is a widower who lives a solitary life. Maddie had a bad breakup that nearly cost her everything. Yet these two come together, no questions asked. And all family members accept them. It is such a sweet love story.

The narration is incredible. I mean who else could top Andi Arndt and Sebastian York. I can't wait to hear them in the rest of the series.

Great Story

I'd give the story an A. The plot kept flowing with just the right amount of sass, sauce and romance. Well done. The performance of the readers was pretty decent. There were times I felt the inflection and mood weren't quite there but I've stopped listening to other books that had a good story line but the readers made it bad. this was a good story overall.

Great start to a new series!

You can’t beat AndI Arndt and Sebastian York narrating a story. I really enjoyed this story and getting to know the members of the Connor family!

I thoroughly enjoyed this Audible & can not wait until the rest of the series to be released!!! The next book ; I will be checking on a daily basis for I already need my " CONNOR FAMILY FIX" !!
