Publisher's Summary

The business of love is dangerous.

For Jennifer Kent, a recent MBA graduate who has been searching for work in Manhattan for four long months, time and money are running out. If she doesn't find work soon, she'll need to return to her native Maine, where the job situation is even more bleak.

But when an unorthodox arrangement is proposed, Jennifer decides to take it. She agrees to be the "girlfriend" of Alexander Wenn, the reluctant, billionaire CEO of Wenn Enterprises, who is so devastatingly good looking, he needs a beautiful woman like Jennifer on his arm to "keep the wolves at bay."

In this case, the wolves are other women, all of whom vie for his attention so aggressively, they keep him from focusing on business at the exclusive events he must attend. It's there that deals are cut. What they want is his money and his power. Damaged by a past event, the only thing Alex wants to do is focus on work. And to forget the past.

But can Jennifer deny their white-hot chemistry? As she's swept into this glittering otherworld of society and big business, she finds herself struggling to keep from falling for Alex, an almost impossible feat she nevertheless must meet.

Armed with her MBA, Jennifer Kent knows about business. But what she doesn't know is what could destroy her - the business of protecting her own heart. And maybe her own life when it's put on the line time and again.

How is this getting more than 2 Stars?

This was my filler book, and it was painful to get through. The narrator was absolutely horrible. How did she get hired? High pitch whining voice. Not even worth the $1.99 I paid.

Great romantic suspense!

Audible Review: I loved this just as much as the first time and the narrator was really good. I have no complaints.

Story Review: This was a great read, the suspense was good and I liked the main characters. I spent the whole time trying to figure who was the threat and it took right to the very end before I figured it out. I liked that it wasn't obvious. I have to say, my favorite character was Ms Blackwell. She almost stole the show from Alex and Jennifer. There was also enough about Lisa and Tank that has me wanting to dive right into their story. Great writing!

Ughh Really ...

Struggling strong not looking for romance woman meets Stronger not looking for romance man...I love a good love story..romance..I get the drop of immitation "50 Shade's" Wannabes. This is definitely generic at best and then roll in the "Pretty Woman Movie" Parallels. Ick..Just awful. I wasted a credit due to reviews. The best part of the book I would have to say is the Narrator on Audible..should you have to read and not listen I am so sorry for you.

Weird for me.

I felt like this book was less about the main character and her love interest and more about her relationship with Blackwell. I feel like Blackwell was in the book more than Alex. I also found that it seemed pretty unrealistic. I was waiting for it to end so I could figure out who the bad guy was although I didn’t really want to.

Wow I should never judge a book.

This Book was a complete surprise. I put off reading it for a really long time because I had a false perception of what it was about. I could not remember why I bought it but remembered I got a deal on it.

Today, I told myself that I would start it, and if it turned out to be crap, I would just remove it from my Kindle. It took the entire day, but I could not put it down. I was so pleasantly surprised and entertained.

I absolutely loved Blackwell. The difference between Blackwell in her first appearance and subsequent Blackwell was a hoot. Never saw it coming.

I liked Jennifer. She seemed much more mature than someone in the mid-twenties, but that could be due to her background. I loved the friendship between Jennifer and Lisa, the loyalty and honesty.

Watching Alex and Jennifer's relationship unfold made for a very unexpected journey. For some reason, I expected this to be full of sex scenes. They had a relationship that built and developed as the book moved forward. Do not get me wrong, there are sex scenes. Some more detailed than others, but this book is mostly about their relationship and overcoming adversity.

Alex seemed to be so grounded and patient. He waited while Jennifer worked out her issues and didn't force anything on her.

I also have to admit that I had a suspicion about the person wreaking havoc in Alex and Jennifer's lives, but that wasn't until almost the very end. Actually, right before the big reveal.

To be honest, I do not know if I would have enjoyed this book as much if I had read it one volume at a time. In fact, I KNOW that I probably would not have gone past the first book. Having all four volumes in one book is a definite selling point for me.

I enjoyed reading this so much that I am going to purchase the holiday book and move on to Lisa and Tank's book.

I loved this book, couldn't put it down

I really enjoyed the story of this boxed set. I would give 5 stars all across the board, but the narration seemed a little to fast for my slow thought process. Narration was clear, accurate and professional. Would listen to her again.

This was not good

I never take time to review a book and I'll apologize in advance if I offend the author but this book was not good. The plot read as though written by a hyper-sexed pre-teen and narrarated by a Valley Girl who breathed loudly. I normally finish any book I start but had to finally shoot this one dead

It's Finally over !

Don't get me wrong. this was a good story, well kind of.... the narrator wasn't great but wasn't the worse I've heard. one of the important things is to be able to change the pitch between characters, it didn't happen. The story it self was ok but with how anticlimactic was it could have been much shorter, way to wordy. I was greatful that it was over. I feel like there will be another book for Lisa but I won't be reading

Excellent all books together! Thanks

Would have loved to have read about the wedding. Sometimes when they went out for dinner it was not very clear why they only had drinks and not eaten before they left
