Anne Carson is "the most exciting poet writing in English today", said Michael Ondaatje. Carson, an essayist and classicist, is the author of many collections and translations, including Decreation, The Beauty of the Husband, Eros the Bittersweet, and Autobiography of Red. Dubbed by Michael Ondaatje as the "most exciting poet writing in English today", essayist and classicist Anne Carson's many collections and translations include Decreation and Autobiography of Red. Her voice has a delicate tenor, but there is irony in her humor and strength in her performance of her pieces "Cassandra Float Can" and "Lecture on Pronouns". Carson also talks about the creative process and how pioneering and challenging art can often be misinterpreted or unappreciated, using artist Gordon Matta-Clark as an example.
