Publisher's summary

A new heroine is born. Her name is Anna Blaze. Follow her development as a growing child as she learns to master her abilities to read minds and teleport herself from one place to another. Share her adventures as she adjusts to the challenges and dangers she faces. What kind of person will she become? Her story begins with our first book, Anna Blaze Teleporter & Rift Jumper: Origins.

Anna Blaze is the daughter of two naturally gifted people who belong to a small group of elite thieves working for a villainous billionaire collector known only as "The Chairman." Although The Chairman takes extreme measures to keep his identity a secret, he compensates his employees well enough to keep their questions at bay and buy their complete loyalty.

This story takes the reader on a suspenseful journey. The heart of this journey is the birth of Anna Blaze, who has inherited the natural gifts of both her parents and demonstrates those gifts within the first few days of her young life. Once father Mason discovers his daughter's powers, his greed takes over, and he begins strategizing about how he can turn his innocent but gifted child into a master thief.

Here is an excerpt from the book.

As Anna grew older, so did her powers and control over them. Mason's consistent guidance helped her hone her skills and proficiency. His original desire to be a good dad was now being corrupted. His latest aspiration was to be as rich and powerful as the Chairman by using Anna's exceptional skills. Anna's skills were far greater than both his and Jackie's together. As much as he cared for Jackie, Mason knew she would never agree with his plans. While it pained Mason that Jackie didn't share his vision, he also knew he didn't need her to reach his goals. He only required Anna. His feelings for Jackie had grown secondary to his desire to obtain control of their daughter.

"Today, we're going to try something even more challenging," Mason knelt on the floor to get closer to Anna's height.
"What is it, daddy?" Anna asked innocently.
"While mommy's out, we'll try to retrieve this little toy car from the footlocker right there. You will teleport the same way you do when you go into other rooms, but this time, the space you teleport into is tiny. You must be precise when focusing on this target, or you may miss it. Do you understand?"
"Yes, daddy. I'm ready! It's just like popping into mommy's closet." A youthful grin formed on Anna's face.
"Yes, it is, just like popping into mommy's closet," chuckled Mason.
Anna turned away from her father and faced Mason's footlocker in the center of the living room. Anna closed her eyes to focus. She mentally probed the wooden box, imagining how she would fit inside while seeing exactly where the toy car was. Anna then approached the footlocker, opened it, and inspected what was inside to verify what she saw. Everything was laid out exactly as she saw it in her mind. Anna closed the footlocker lid and backed away.
"That's right, take your time, and relax." Mason encouraged in the background.
Suddenly, Anna disappeared. Mason immediately glanced at his wristwatch to watch the second hand. He bit his lower lip in anticipation as he waited. His anxiety grew as the second hand returned to its original position and continued forward—after sixty seconds, Anna was still nowhere to be found. Just when he considered unlocking the foot locker to check on Anna, Mason felt a slight gust of wind and sighed.
"Oh, thank God!" he said as he saw Anna in front of him.
She raised her right hand to show her clutching the toy car. "Daddy, I did it!"
Anna triumphantly ran to Mason with arms wide open and was welcomed with a massive hug by a beaming Mason.
"You sure did, baby girl. You're going to be the best thief there ever was."
