Anna Cole grew up poor, but her mother's love made her feel rich every day. Then her mother died, and Anna was sent to a care home. As a teenager, Anna vowed that one day, she would have children of her own, and create the happy, noisy family life she always craved. Then, one day, Anna meets Theo Montgomery in a lift. Theo has kind eyes, but a sad past. His family were rich, but his childhood was full of neglect. Theo can't imagine bringing a child into this cruel world, but he does want a soulmate. Someone to love him unconditionally; someone with whom he can share his family's wealth. Theo and Anna are two damaged souls, from two different worlds. Is their love for each other enough to let go of the pain of their pasts? Or will Anna and Theo break each others' hearts?©2018 Amanda Prowse (P)2018 W. F. Howes Ltd

Loved the woman narrator!

Good story, great accents and enjoyed the view of the city. I also like an open ending!

Absolutely fantastic

What a complete surprise this book was. It was so good! I loved the characters and wow, the narrator is the author? She did a superb job both in writing and narration. I cannot wait to check out more Amanda Prowse books.

Amanda Prowse continues to be a stellar story teller!

Anna is heartwarming, yet heartbreaking story of a little girl who faces one tragedy after another, as she reaches adulthood. Through it all Anna shares how she gets through it, while remembering her beloved mother’s advice and unconditional love. I’m excited to read the next book in the series, Theo, told from the perspective of the love of Anna’s life!

🌹Highly Recommend 🌹

Wonderful. Rare. Beautifully narrated by the author herself. I can’t recommend it enough for those who love wonderfully written novels about people who come to full life, with all its love and heartbreak, through the written and spoken word. Anna B. and Theo, Jorden, Lisa and Mellissa, Anna’s mom and others you’ll be glad to meet. If you like this kind of thing, that is.

Now, I can’t wait to get to know Theo more deeply.

Surprisingly Good

A heartbreaking and heartwarming story with well developed characters.
I tend to avoid author narrated stories. But Prowse does a great job.
