Publisher's Summary

Sometimes love can take you by surprise.

Kara Newell has a big-city life that needs a major shakeup. Her dedication as a social worker is unwavering, yet her heart tells her that there is more to life than just work. Kara gets the push she needs when, shockingly, she inherits a large estate on an island off the South Carolina coast. Now the charming town of Angels Landing awaits her—along with a secret family she never knew she had.

After surviving war, loss, and heartbreak, exmarine Jeffrey Hamilton takes his position as the sheriff of idyllic Cavanaugh Island very seriously. So he is the perfect person to watch over the beautiful, confident woman who has turned her new family’s expectations upside down—and stepped into the crosshairs of angry local residents.

Soon Kara becomes more than just a job to him, and he begins to need her in ways he never expected. As Kara and Jeffrey confront the town gossips together, they’ll learn to face their fears and forgive their pasts in order to find a future filled with happiness in Angels Landing.

Beautiful love story!

Just enough drama to keep it interesting, not over the top or drawn out. Love the narration by Nicole Small. Can't wait for the next one.

Love conquers all!

Where does Angels Landing rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Idk it was a good book.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jeff, he is so smooth, and laid back. I think I'm in love.

What does Nicole Small bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I enjoyed how she changed up with all of the characters, she brought so much swagger to Jeff.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, when they finally hooked up,it was so good to read that.

Sometimes money can change family into predators

An inheritance turned the family into predators. Greed caused this family close to murder, they wanted it all, they didn't care about the betrayal of Cavanaugh citizens, nor of property they already owned. The main character was a rags to riches or Cinderella like romance, that turn in her favor after all the hurdles the family put her through.

Another 1st for me listening to the narrator, she did a great job. And by that I mean she gave the characters life.

I could listen to this story over and over again.

Would you consider the audio edition of Angels Landing to be better than the print version?

for me. yes I move around a lot so it means a lot to me to be able to listen to a book.

Have you listened to any of Nicole Small’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

yes, and it was pretty good.

Any additional comments?

great story line, liked the way the story introduced the main characters.

Great

I really liked this book and would recommend this book. It had a great storyline and sexual storylines. I wish this book was a movie or TV show. I really liked the cute couple and would like to hear more stories about them and the Island people and her roommate.

I wanted to like it... But

I wanted to like it but I just didn't. It was slow and boring and I actually paused it to listen to another book in-between because it just wasn't holding my interest. It just wasn't my type of book.

The heart longs for eternal love

A very well written suspense filled tale of love. Kept my full attention. Southern charmer that was tastefully revealing of a steamy love affair that ended well.

Enjoying the low country

This book had a great storyline that kept me intrigued. I finished this audiobook in an almost 25 hour time span and it usually takes me much longer.
