Ancient Stone Mysteries of New England – Discovering Ancient History All Around Us

A Journey Into Stonework With Author And Researcher Mike Luoma.

We may be re-discovering possibly ancient stonework all around us in New England... and beyond.

Maybe that’s why you’re looking at this ebook. Maybe you’ve come across mysterious stonework or know someone who has... and you want to know more. Maybe you've found you don’t know as much as you once thought you did about the ancient stonework of New England. That’s what this book is about.

This could be ancient Indigenous Stonework.

Author and Researcher Mike Luoma shares the personal story of his first two years of exploration and discovery of possibly sacred stone sites throughout New England, experiencing potential Ceremonial Stone Landscapes and more. Mike relates his impressions from each visit, as well as research and knowledge gained in his efforts to understand the sites' meanings and histories.

To be clear: I have absolutely no doubt that the full scope of Native American stone working traditions have been systematically played down and swept under the rug by a dismissive euro-centric narrative (especially in New England). I’ve hiked all over New England. I grew up in Natick, the original “Praying Indian” village. I’ve seen many of curious rock features in the woods. The trouble is that this book doesn’t do anything more than spin tales and conjecture about any of it. There’s no systematic analysis, no quantification, no rigor. Moreover, there’s no attempt to ask questions of ANYONE from any of the tribal organizations.

Too subjective. Lacks rigor.
