Publisher's summary

There are 13 ancient history books that are mentioned and recommended by the Bible. The Ancient Book of Jasher is the only one of the 13 that still exists. It is referenced in Joshua 10:13; 2 Samuel 1:18; and 2 Timothy 3:8. This volume contains the entire 91 chapters plus a detailed analysis of the supposed discrepancies, cross-referenced historical accounts, and detailed charts for ease of use. As with any history book there are typographical errors in the text but with three consecutive timelines running though the histories it is very easy to arrive at the exact dates of recorded events.

It is not surprising that this ancient document confirms the Scripture and the chronology given in the Hebrew version of the Old Testament, once and for all settling the chronology differences between the Hebrew Old Testament and the Greek Septuagint. The Ancient book of Jasher is brought to you by Biblefacts Ministries, Biblefacts.org

The book of Jasher

I found it to be very much In detail of story's already in the BIBLE. while listing to it I didn't have any red flag thoughts. if you listen to it just listen, don't think about what is being read and the HOLY SPIRIT will defiantly let you know if it is true or not. that is who you need to hear as you listen.

This book gives more meat to the book of Genesis

This is an excellent book, listening to it together with the bible gives more meaning, an overall understaning and a greater appreciation of our mighty God.

The only problem I have with audible books is not see the titles of the chapters of the books - unless I do not have that feature turned on :)

only for the seasoned.

this book is not meant for the beginner for the newcomer to the Lord. this book is for someone who has been through the scriptures for years. it is a great book to listen to understand that it is not meant to be viewed as Holy ghost inspired but meant to be looked at as the histories throughout the old testament filling in the little gaps of details that have been left out for whatever reason.

Fascinating!

the detail of this book is beyond my wildest dreams. It answers so many questions and fills in the blanks that are there from scripture. Some things might be a little over the top. But just stick with it. It is so worth it!

Definitely not inspired Word Of GOD

I DO NOT recommend this for a new Christian or if you do not have a grasp on the Bible. Although it does have a few Biblical truths it's filled with A LOT of over the top tales that are 100% non-biblical. I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND why it's not part of the Bible.
The Holy Spirit definitely was pointing out the falsehoods in the writings. Wish I had NEVER listened to one minute of it to be honest. Praise GOD for the KJV !!!!!!!

Ancient Book Of Jasher

I enjoyed the book. At times I could imagine myself in that time. it also gave some clarity to what I had already read in the KJV of the bible.

Questable Information

This is my first reading of some of the book of Jashar. I don't know what is in other books of this title. There are inconsistencies in the stories of this book in comparison to the inspired scriptures. I don't know if the author added information for sensationalism. But clearly, God revealed to NOAH His intentions of a flood. Not to others prior to Noah.
As far as Enoch is concerned concerned, he was hated by men because at that time, he lead in a righteous lifestyle. God took him because those who hated him, did so because of his righteous stand and more than likely, sought his life. God was not going to let probably his only righteous servant at the time suffer a tortuous death at the hand of the wicked and so God took him. Doesn't mean he went to heaven. There was no hope of heavenly life in those days since the Christ was the first to enter the spiritual heavens opening g up the way for others. Any mention of the heavens prior to the Christ such as the situation of Elijah was in reference to the ' physical " heavens. To many scriptural contradictions for me to rate The Ancient Book of Jashar highly.

A must for Christians and Historical Scholars.

A highly recommended read / listen. Anyone series about the study of Biblical history would be doing themselves a severe discredit should they ignore this ancient and reliable book.
