Anarchy, Chaos, and Deadly Justice

Using advanced technology to produce credible but false news stories, cells of anarchists are fanning the flames between people at the liberal and conservative extremes of society. Their goal is to provoke violence in the streets to destroy America and her allies.

J. R. Finn and Mary O'Brien, agents of a clandestine private security company called Phorcys, are tasked by the U.S. government with cutting off the flow of money to the groups fueling the conflict. Finn and Mary follow the money along a convoluted path beginning with a Caribbean-based drug lord and ending with a wealthy entrepreneur in the suburbs of Washington, D.C.

The anarchists shift their focus, attempting to employ their tools to break up Phorcys. Will Phorcys survive? Will America? Listen to Anarchy and Chaos and find out.

Anarchy and Chaos is perfect for fans of action and adventure set in the tropics.

Never ends

Once again the author pulled off another great story. Not only did this story start off running it continued throughout. I love the way he always give background when he brings a new name to the story. I love the never ending drama of lizard lady and grandpa. And David Bosco’s narration is as always spot on.
I received this free for an honest review.
Thanks for the opportunity.

Sowing anarchy and reaping chaos...

Anarchy and Chaos (J.R. Finn Sailing Mystery Series, Book 11) by Charles Dougherty and narrated by David Bosco is another fantastic addition to the story of Finn and Mary. It’s an easy listen that I didn’t want to stop once I started. If you like sailing, mysteries, and superb narration, this is the series for you.

What’s it about? While Finn and Mary have their eyes set on their first target, Norris, a phone call jars Mary and begins their adventure dealing with the dark tech world. There’s twists and turns, a variety of new characters along with some old, and the action doesn’t let up. Something about this one reminded me of the beginning of the series where you just don’t quite know if Mary’s up to something or not. There is a short refresher in the first chapter for those of us who sometimes forget the specifics. I do not recommend starting with this book even with the refresher as you will miss out on important details in the beginning of the series. The narrator, David Bosco, was fantabulous! His articulation and infection was spot on. This particular book helped to showcase his variety of voices. If you haven’t listened to his narrations, I high recommend you do so and ASAP.

This has been my favorite Finn and Mary book to date. Can’t wait for the next! Highly recommend you give it a listen.

“A wise man once told me, when duty calls, you do what you have to do.”

Parental guidance/trigger warnings (some of the potentials listed here): Finn and Mary are assassins- death, drugs (drugging people, Mary’s upbringing and her mother was an addict), political parties/action groups mentioned (who’s targeting them in attempt to create chaos), suicide mentions (in reference to assassination), Mary is groped by a bad guy, and some religion talk (quotes from bible, Greek deities). Language used: Sx12.

*I was given a free review copy of the book at my request and have voluntarily left this review. Thank you for allowing me to listen and review!
