Publisher's summary

Everyone needs a hero.

That's what Detective Molly Masters tells me. "What we need," she says, "what the whole world needs," she pleads, "is a champion."

The only thing I want to talk about with Molly Masters is how I'd like to make her scream my name when I push her up against a wall, slide my hand up her thigh, and live out my wildest fantasies.

"Someone who will fight against injustice," she says.

I'll fight against anything you want, honey. Just come a little closer.

"Someone who will stand tall in the face of adversity," she says.

I'll do it standing, sitting, or lying down. See how easy I am?

"Someone who believes in the value of a good deed," she says.

I believe in the value of me, sweetheart. Because I'm Lincoln Wade. Jaded genius, obscenely wealthy, capable of violence, and looking for revenge.

Molly Masters might have delusions of grandeur. She might see me as some superman capable of cleaning up the scum, filth, and corruption in Cathedral City.

But I'm not the hero she's looking for.

I'm the dark alley where all her good intentions hide.

So be careful what you wish for, Molly Masters.

Because you're about to get it.

Not sure about that credit😬

I wasn't very impressed, the story line was a bit too confusing, then when you thought you had it...I'm still not sure if it was fantasy or MC...

No EOBS, wtf, I look forward to it!

This story is a science fictional kind of tale. It also has a similar theme to another series. The story has kids that Are taken from their families and are trained, and much more, to be soldiers(kinda). yes, it has aspects that are pretty far fetched, but it's an exciting story. However, I can't begin to stress how disappointed I was that there was no End of book Shit. I love the EOBS. please tell me this isn't a permanent change.

Good

Liked the story. Molly may be the worst detective ever but other than that it was good.

Okay WoW!!!

I liked this book but, it really was alot like
a sexy version or "generic " version of Batman. That being said I love Batman anyway. The mystery behind it kept me going. I really loved the Narrators they did a wonderful job. So into Batman?? or at least something like it this book is for you. 🙂

Julie and her friends that write/conjure up with her are freaking awesome

Julie never disappoints. But I did look forward to her why/Author moments after each book!
And this did not have one. Ugh!
Still a total 10 out of 5 stars.

NICE.. HOT ALPHA SUPER-HEROES ON STEROIDS

Another unique action-packed listen from JA Huss that tells of super heroes.. or super villains depending on your take, who battle one particular evil megalomaniac who once tried to create his own personal army of 'altered' humans. Children stolen, bartered, bought or created for the sole purpose of transforming them into weapons that could be controlled. A corrupt Corporation.. one man sits at the top of his evil empire.. and three men plan vengeance, revenge and his total destruction.

This is the story of the three Alphas who got away.. the friendships they made, the tenuous bond they share, their strengths and weaknesses, their powers, the female Omegas that could destroy them and the wealth of achievements they created for one purpose only.. to annihilate everyone responsible for their transformations. There's world-building in the plot as it hones in on one particular Alpha.. Lincoln Wade - a rich sexy dirty talking jaded genius who holds some impressive powers and how his plans for revenge goes off course when feisty Detective Molly Masters arrives on the scene. When Bike Boy meets Gun Girl.. when Molly discovers and uncovers much more than clues as she investigates suspicious serial suicides.

This story played out very much like a very hot version of Marvel's Comic Book stories because these Alpha heroes are v e r y Alpha and 'altered'. Yes, I liked and enjoyed the story.. but sadly I just didn't love it.. and I love love love Superheroes. This had a good start - the intrigue, surprise and suspense was there.. but I missed the build-up and the romance elements to the story. The possessive sexy Biker-style hero (or anti-hero) was great and so was his two accomplices.. well Shiela, Lincoln's female hologram virtual assistant, makes three and she nearly stole the show. Everything in this dual POV story takes place over a couple of weeks.. although the pawns and the players have been known to each other for fifteen years. There were h o t sex scenes.. and not everything went to plan of course with twists and revelations.. and the final battle between good vs. evil was intense and had its climactic challenges. I could see this making a half decent film.. given the right actors and special effects of course! Narration was great.. well it's a partnership with Sebastian York - so enough said.

Worth a credit? If you like the super-hero on steroids type genre then you're going to love this.. everyone else stay away - especially anyone looking for a realistic or plausible plot. As I said, I enjoyed it, I definitely won't be sending it back and I'll probably get the next book in the series too.. but sorry you'll have to decide if this is worth one of YOUR credits.

Whoa

This book was nothing I was anticipating but had me so intrigued i missed my highway exit driving a route I normally drive on autopilot. So now I want the next book with the teaser, even though this one is fully realized and Tax Brandon isn't my favorite narrator voice but I can tolerate him if I must, bc I don't think it is going to be all HEA rainbows and unicorns like it seems in this book ending.

Great narrators and fun story but missing pieces

I loved the reader's for this story. I really like when stories are done with a male and female. I also love that it was a little bit scifi. The inner dialogue listing was a bit much at times. My biggest issue is the story has wholes....so many I felt. I know the story continues on and that's what's supposed to draw you into the next one. But I'm annoyed and probably wont read the next one as the narrator's doesn't sound as sexy. Speaking off...I did enjoy the sex scenes.

this is different from what I'm used to listening to but I enjoyed it very much. Filled with action and held my interest.
