Technology has played a significant role in the overall development of the material culture within the United States. This analysis includes professional references. It is great for use as reference in a Sociology class, or to listen to for leisure to better understand material culture. Here Clinger discusses how our culture is obessed with material objects, and the implications that it has on us as a society as a whole. He not only points out that we a re tied to objects, but that we not only need certain objects, but we are never happy with what we have, and strive to get better objects all the time. I will not tell you his conclusions, that is for you to read.
Scholl compliments Clinger's writing and provides clear pronunication and drives Clinger's point home a sif he wrote the material.
