Publisher's summary

For high-powered personal injury attorney Noah Byron, the good things in life come with a price tag - cars, houses, women. That's why he represents only cases that come with the possibility of a nice cut of the action. But as a favor to his ex-wife, he meets with the mother of twelve-year-old Joel, a boy poisoned by tainted children's medicine. While the official story is that a psycho tampered with bottles, the boy's mother believes something much more sinister is at work...and the trail leads right back to the pharmaceutical company.

As Noah digs deeper into the case, he quickly finds himself up against a powerful corporation that will protect itself at any cost. He also befriends young Joel and breaks the number one rule of personal injury law: don't make it personal. Faced with the most menacing of opponents and the most vulnerable of clients, Noah is determined to discover the truth and win justice for Joel - even if it means losing everything else.

Light and Predictable, but Lovely!

Even though it was a bit predictable, I really just enjoyed the journey and the characters. I was never tempted to read ahead because I didn't want to rush through the story. If you need a lift and a little positivity, this is a great book!

Terrific Book!

I loved this book! The narration is perfect! Fast paced I couldn’t stop listening. I want to read more about the main character Noah. I hope there’s another book on him. I would recommend this book.

Very moving

I had mixed emotions through the book. I felt outraged, powerless, melancholy and more. I could not stop reading trying to get to the end as see how the case was resolved.

Methos with another home run

I am really enjoying the Victor Methos collection of novels. He creates flawed characters that feel like real people who encounter life events that have the capacity to alter their life direction. His novels draw me in intellectually and emotionally.
The narration was superb!

enjoyable

Good solid story line with developed characters. It was good to see the main character change for the good. I enjoyed the process of preparing for trial and settlement.
It is rough with strong language.

Great Story.

This was a very good book. Although the book is a work of fiction . The theme of the book is just like real life situations unfortunately for some people. This was a great read and it is a story that will definitely tug at your heart strings. I give it 5 stars all the way. Cheers for the Under Dogs! It's that kind of story.

Fantastic story and narrator!

This story gripped me from the very beginning. I love Victor Methos’ integration of an interesting storyline with courtroom procedures and legal tricks . Alexander Cendese is fantastic for this type of narration - fast paced with a dynamic booming voice and varied intonation. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Not as good as Neon Lawyer

Still a good listen however. Quite predictable and the main character not so lovable as the first book.
