Very entertaining

Sarah Hughes, best friends of the Mifford daughters, is resigned to her future as a spinster. Then the town’s universally detested man is murdered, she decides to investigate because she can’t bear to have her father accused of the murder. As fate has it, a young widowed Earl is visiting town and helps Sarah with her inquiries. Love and marriage aren’t far behind. Great characters and a cute story. I especially loved Sarah’s meeting with the Earl’s son. The narration is outstanding.
