She’s an excellent writer—better than her husband but not as good at plots. This only devolved in the last few minutes and few signs of suspicion or even red herrings were supplied. An unsatisfactory denouement and no likable characters.

The reader was too clipped and made everyone seem indifferent to what transpired.
