America’s most effective conservative intellectual proves once and for all that Marxist radicals have taken over our nation's institutions.

In the 1960s, Mao launched China’s Cultural Revolution. Cities grew overcrowded. Technocrats demanded progress from above. Anyone opposed was sent to be “re-educated.” China’s revolution was bloody, fast, and a failure, but what if America started a revolution at the same time, based on the same bad ideas, and it’s just been slower, calmer, and more effective?

In his powerful new book, Christopher F. Rufo uncovers the hidden history of left-wing intellectuals and activists who systematically took control of America’s institutions to undermine them from within. America’s Cultural Revolution finally answers so many of the questions normal Americans have, such as:

• Why is nearly every major corporation bending the knee to a far-left agenda?

• How did DEI suddenly become the department no institution can continue without?

• Why is race the main thing America’s rich, white elite wants to talk about?

• When did the left adopt all this doublespeak, saying progress is a lack of progress, equality is not equality, speech is violence, and violence is speech?

• Has the goal of the left, for a century, actually been the destruction of every Western institution?

Readers may not know the names of Herbert Marcuse, Angela Davis, Paulo Freire, and Derrick Bell, but they will recognize the ideas they spread. How their radical, destructive ideology slowly worked its way from prisons to academia to classrooms to your human resources department will come as a shock.

Failing to act soon, Rufo warns, could allow the radical left to achieve their ultimate objective: replacing constitutional equality with a race-based redistribution system overseen by bureaucratic ‘diversity and inclusion’ officials. Most Americans don’t want this, but most Americans are no longer in control of our institutions. If the mainstream media’s depiction of a failing dystopia in need of a fresh start never sounded right to you, this expose and call to arms is the book you’ve been looking for.

An extremely engaging and illuminating journey through the evolution of Marxism into CRT and the impact it is having on everyone it touches. Can’t recommend it highly enough

This book is more than history. It is the examination of nihilism, and its bitter consequences. While we are still deep in the battle, I believe there's hope our society can break through the underbrush of lies and fight with deeper practical wisdom.

Stunning

there is a tendency on the right to intuitively know what is wrong, and attempt to go to battle without being properly informed of the historical happenings in heroes that got us here. I'm guilty of it, and I suspect that you are as well. truly enjoyed this substantive and in-depth look into the grave of leftism.

The ending definitely leaves me hopeful. however, we can simply look at China and see that their cultural revolution did not necessarily fail, rather it birthed into a communist capitalist hybrid. The critical theories modeled the class revolution that occurred there and I fear that the West will simply be satiated by a parasitic, vampireish drawdown of capitalist success.

The best books change the frame through which you see the world. This is one of those books.

This book will surely become authoritative in the future. Though Chris Rufo can be off putting, he does great academic work here

My wife and I had no idea what our children would face at elite institutions. We raised our kids to be critical thinkers, but the education that our two Ivy League (Harvard and Columbia) children received was entirely one-sided and completely steeped in DEI/CRT theology. They will not even listen to alternative views. Our two kids that went to the Naval Academy had a much more balanced education because Congress pays attention to its curriculum and military officer professors are overall more conservative than their civilian counterparts. They still heard the nonsense, but mostly made fun of it.

Our higher education system must change as it is no longer representative of our great nation. The new Administration is trying but there is tremendous pushback. Congress is probably too weak to make changes. It will likely be fought in the courts for years to come. Not sure how it will all end sadly. Probably will only go well if America re-churches.

A spectacular piece of work. Mr. Rufo has a delivered an incredibly insightful, well-researched and necessary book that rips the mask off these delusional, depraved Marxists who’ve taken over our entire culture. Shame on every single one of us for allowing ourselves to be swindled in such an overwhelming and breathtaking fashion. I can’t endorse this book highly enough! Must-read priority for every college-aged youth.

A Knock-out!

Wow, just finished this book. America's Cultural Revolution by Christopher Ruffo is powerful. I've never read The Communist Manifesto by Marx, but I understand how much power it had to disrupt governments and capitalism and change history. I think this book can be as disruptive to CRT and DEI as Marx's work was to capitalism. It's an incredible work. Very well researched. A lot of depth. And Chronicles the ideas that I have been studying on these topics from early inception to today in great detail and I think it explains their dangers to anyone with sympathetic ears. Of course those who are steeped in the ideology I don't think will be moved by this book. It would probably be as difficult for them to read this book as it was for me to read Atlas shrugged as a young teenage man sympathetic to communism. The woke and the woke adjacent will call this book a work promoting the cultural Marxism conspiracy theory. Honest people will call it a chronicle of the Long March of cultural Marxism across our institutions. And those of us who have seen the dangers of this ideology marching through our country will see this work as a call to arms and a manifesto for restoring the values that have lead to American greatness.
