Publisher's Summary

Liberty minded individuals and those who believe in the Constitution will find this near future dystopian novel to be right up their alley. Those who are looking to be more informed about the potential threats to America's financial stability will learn what to watch for and how to prepare themselves for an economic collapse.

America is on the cusp of financial annihilation. Matt and Karen Bair face the challenges of Main Street during a full scale financial meltdown. Government borrowing and monetary creation have reached their limits. When funds are no longer available for government programs, widespread civil unrest erupts across the country. Matt and Karen are forced to move to a more remote location and their level of preparedness is revealed as being much less adequate than they believed prior to the crisis.

Meanwhile, Paul Randall, a third party presidential candidate arises to push back against the welfare and warfare spending that have bankrupted our country. While he has gained expansive acceptance, the fight has just begun. Paul Randall proposes a plan to mitigate the coming hyper-inflationary collapse which is a mathematical certainty. His plan is known as The American Exit Strategy.

American Exit Strategy uses survival fiction to take an in-depth look at the real life politics and economics behind the issues that are likely to trigger a currency collapse or financial meltdown in the near future.

American Exit Strategy is a work of fiction…until it becomes history.

Too much bible, but good.

Too much bible thumping, but still a decent book. I'll be checking out the second book.

One of the best survival novels of all time

I am a bit of a prepper/survival novel junkie, and this is one of the best. Goodwin does an amazing job at combining current events, compelling characters, and an imaginative story all into one outstanding package. This is a must read for any patriot or post-historical fiction fan. Loved it!

if you want a look at our world when this false economy collapses this is a good place to start. The references going back to our founding fathers are startlingly accurate .

Unfortunately to close for comfort.

The book is eerily coming close to reality. On 5/20/16 not there yet but it's that's its headed in this direction. Well done Mark. May this Book bless those in some way.

An excellent well researched book

This is one of the best depiction of the economic collapse facing America today. Our treasuries are emptying and our government continues to act as though the purse is bottomless. We are no longer citizens to the government we are now the assets and product that our government uses to feed its ever growing need for money and power. This book describes perfectly how I believe the downfall will come.

Too much religious bias

I am a liberty loving patriot. At the same time I am also an Atheist. I grew up in the church and love many of the people and lessons I learned from it, but ultimately the claims of the bible don't add up. While I love the meat of this story I despise the religious bias this author endorses. Such as painting Science as myth, atheists as liberals, and students being denied religious freedom in schools. all of those claims are very far from the truth. Ultimately a true libertarian endorses the religious freedom of all people. My right to that freedom will not be tread on. I urge Mark Goodwin to realize that hallmark and embrace it.

Like always Kevin Pierce does a fantastic rendition! He leave nothing to be desired.

A little clumsy but well worth the listen

If you could sum up American Exit Strategy in three words, what would they be?

Relatable, Possible, republican

What was one of the most memorable moments of American Exit Strategy?

Buggin out to be with Adam and the family, the robbery, the changing neighbourhood back home

Would you listen to another book narrated by Kevin Pierce?

Yes though his delivery doesn't flow to the same level that other narrators do, the warmth in his voice makes up for some of this though

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

the description of the farmhouse matt would look at buying

Any additional comments?

A little two dimensional on the characters, a little to obvious on the correlation on real life people being named incorrectly on purpose from real life like obama. I do agree with alot of the view points from the series tho and I do feel it shows somewhat a possible future, the fact that all the nations lend and borrow on gold that they do not currently owe, the fact that hyper inflation is a real concern world wide, and the impact on that. I feel that the government in these books is a little more extreme and I worry that the work may be dismissed summarily because of this despite a lot of the founding issues being relevant.
