America at the Crossroads

Today as another election rapidly approaches, America stands at the crossroads of liberty and tyranny. Our national debt is on track to triple within the last fifteen years, and no one in the American capital seems to any clue about how to change course. As American wages have remained stagnant for years, the cost of living continues to increase, as do the healthcare costs, energy prices, and heaps of regulations that are constantly pumped out of the federal bureaucracy in Washington. Common sense and sound management seem to have been tossed out the window, and many are wondering if the American Republic is even a constitutional republic any more. In the days ahead, will we choose liberty-minded leaders who will return us to responsible, sensible, limited government? Or will we continue voting for those who promise us the most entitlements and kickbacks, even though we cannot afford them? The primary debate is that which has raged in America since her founding – the choice between liberty and tyranny. Will we knowingly choose the difficult road of freedom or the easy path of tyranny in the name of security?
