Publisher's Summary

If you can choose the perfect words and phrases, and look perfect for the job that you have to be hunting, then keep reading!

Have you been dreaming of a specific job in a specific career and you are ready to enter the job market? Have you been interviewing and not getting the job offers you have been desiring?

Whether you have an interview scheduled tomorrow or if you just started your job search and are preparing well in advance for the interviews to come, don't let your nerves get the better of you. In most cases, all you need to score an amazing interview is to familiarize yourself with some of the common questions asked and start crafting your answers in advance.

Though there are no guarantees that you will get the job of your dreams, you can do a lot for job interview preparation to make sure that you are ready. Some interviews are easy, but the best jobs often come after rigorous and tough job interviews that can be done by one or more people within that particular company. There are many things that you can do to make yourself the best candidate that they see, and hopefully the one that they decide would be the best addition to their company.

It may sound good to go into the interview without prepared answers thinking, probably, that if you prepare your answers will be stiff and sound rehearsed, and if you just "wing it" your answers will sound natural and present the real you, but I am afraid that may not be the way to look at it. Maybe it is not so bad to sound a little rehearsed and overly prepared. Maybe that slight stiffness will send the message that the job mattered to you enough that you did prepare. Someone who cares about how they present themselves must be more valuable than someone who "wings it." The "wing it" person may come off caviler, egocentric, narcissistic, conceited, and just a big ole full-of-'m-self blowhard.

What you are going to discover in this book:

  • "Get Ready for That Interview"
  • "Tips to Crack the Interview"
  • "Do's and Don’ts - Before, During and After an Interview"
  • "Quick Guide to Tricky Interview Questions"
  • "Phone Interview Questions and Answers"
  • "Job Interviews - 10 Cardinal Sins"
  • "Ways to Hugely Boost Your Success Rate"
  • "A List of Tough Job Interview Questions for Tough Times"

Interviews tend to fill us all with fear and dread, but with some preparation and a positive attitude you can really stand head and shoulders above the other candidates. Want to land your dream job? It all comes down to how you answer the questions you're asked during your interview. Just as there are identifiable phases to any job interview, there are a few easy steps to come up with the best answer to any interview question. Here's the best news: I can teach you to transform any old mundane, lackluster, half-hearted answer that you might come up with, into that amazing answer. All you have to do is use my special formula, which I'll tell you about in a moment.

The first step is always awareness.

Definitely read this book!

During my next interview, I will try to incorporate a few of her recommendations. One of the recommendations that is very good is to really focus time and effort on crafting an excellent response to "tell me about yourself". My previous responses in other interviews have been long-winded compared to what she recommends.

Interview book for public sector/my profession

This book was an excellent resource in recent interview preparations for a new hire and I will definitely keep it in my collection. I was able to quickly compile ones I thought were applicable and have a handy list for the interview. My only wish is that they made more interview books suited towards public sector jobs.

Great book on case interviews.

Amazon interviewers take the leadership principles seriously. One goal of the interview is to see if you're a good fit with the principles. Therefore, If you don't know what they are and you're about to interview at Amazon, you need to study them before your interview.

Successful Interview and helpful book to me

Author has written the book in a very simplified manner with no unclear instructions. There are three important steps of interview starting from the introduction then the middle part and the most important is your exit from the interview. It gives test answers, it additionally clarifies the methodology behind the inquiry. I'm prepared to handle any question and I feel certain .

Effective, informative book

I purchased this book not for use as an interviewee, but an interviewer. I wanted to learn better ways to meet with potential employees and assess their potential. I learned that, as well as seeing the positive, thoughtful answers that can be a benefit to any business interaction, as well as personal interactions. From that standpoint, it's an excellent, effective book.

Facebook recommendation triumphs

I saw an advertisement on Facebook that "What I Wish Every Job Candidate Knew" was a free download today and the timing was perfect. I have an interview on Monday to potentially work at a Hospital. The book is clear and to the point just like your answers to interview questions should be.

Easy as reading 15 minutes before the interview

It might not be quite as easy as reading 15 minutes before the interview, as you will want some time to reflect on coming up with responses to the questions the author suggests having answers for. But even reading it right before the interview would give you a heads-up on what to expect so you are no caught completely off-guard.

Valuable information! Not too long

This is a highly recommended book. My wife and I got a lot out of it. And you can read it thoroughly in one hours. It says few minutes (likely implying that it's a 15 min read), but if you want to really absorb the info, you might want to read a little slower and make notes.

Get an on other candidates & still be yourself

I overhaul peoples resumes as a side job & wanted to include something as a bonus. This was the ticket. I use to work as an employment specialist & all the points made here are spot on. He gives you the tools to have your responses prepared in your own words versus sounding like a prepped robot at the interview. & give you the edge against a bunch of qualified candidates.

This book will teach you the difference and more

I work in the Technology industry where presentations can be less than compelling. We tend to focus on the latest and greatest cool feature, though we don't relate why the tech is important or what was the grand idea behind it very well.I am a much more effective public speaker today thanks to the Steal The Show techniques. I strongly encourage you to buy this book and try .

Perfect for Recruiters and Hiring Managers

The Employment Manager for a very large mortgage company. His questions are a compilation of questions that he
gathered over the years that help narrow down a candidate pool. These questions are above and beyond the normal tested
legal, they ask whether a person can do the job as described.this is a great tool to have in your library.
