Publisher's summary

After a failed dig in Honduras, aspiring archaeologist Casper Christiansen heads home to Minnesota to face his unresolved feelings for Raina Beaumont, the woman of his dreams. But when he arrives unannounced on her doorstep, he receives the shock of a lifetime: Raina is pregnant with someone else's baby.

Heartbroken, especially when he discovers the identity of the baby's father, Casper tables his dreams and determines to be dependable for once, helping his older brother, Darek, prepare the family resort for its grand reopening. Casper longs to be the hero of at least one family story, but a never-ending Deep Haven winter and costly repairs threaten their efforts - and the future of the resort.

Worse, one of Casper's new jobs constantly brings him into contact with Raina, whom he can't seem to forget. A tentative friendship begins to heal fresh wounds, but can they possibly overcome past mistakes and current choices to discover a future together?

Can’t stop listening!

I’m more than Totally addicted to this series. The Christiansens are never boring. I love how the author brings in great Biblical advise to real life issues.

Tender and heartwarming.

This book was so tender and heartwarming. I laughed and cried with both Characters!! I would listen again, so true to life and how we get "stuck" in our own pride; not looking to God and how he views us!

Clean, fun, emotional ride

I loved how this book was filled with Gods Word, a beautiful love story full of redemption and forgiveness, and romance. I don’t usually review books and initially I started with book 3 because I didn’t think I’d be interested in the other books. I love when romance is mixed with culinary adventure, but THIS book, spoke to my heart. Had me in tears, had me smiling, had me warning the characters as they spoke. There was only one voice that was the one of an older gentleman that was almost unbearable to listen to. It actually hurt my throat and I had to turn the volume way down. Besides that character, which was just a sprinkle in the pages, this book is one of the best ones I’ve read in a VERY long time. Oh wait. Raina was very annoying at a point. I was like “Girl! Get it together! Stop denying the TRUTH and love GIF and love this man who OBVIOUSLY loves you. But I get it. It all worked out in the end. Great book, now I have to go back and read the prior stories and will read them all. Im basically part of the family, or wish I was part of the family. This book is so good I wonder if it’s based on a family and place that truly exists! Love! Love! Love! And thanks for keeping it clean!!

Disappointing

Raina. I just couldn’t get behind her character as such a weak minded person and poor decision maker. And making Casper be so lost in his own identity that he actually chooses to be with her. Ugh. Definitely not the best storyline in this series so far, and so disappointing.

frustrating

This book really frustrated me, I could not stand Raina and how she made excuses for her "boyfriend" just because she didn't want to be alone.
