Publisher's summary

Falling in love with your best friend? Easy. Telling them how you really feel? Impossible.

Quinn Shaughnessy believes there's a lot more to life than romance, and he always thought his best friend Anna agreed. But now she's coming out of her shell and dating, and Quinn starts seeing her in a very different light.

Anna can tell Quinn anything, except the big secret she's been hiding for years - that she's fallen in love with him. Now Anna is determined to make a life for herself that doesn't include hopeless pining. But just as she's ready to move on, Quinn seems determined not to let go - and the way he's looking at her might be enough to finally change them from best friends to best everything.

good story

this was a great story, but the guy's narration voice really killed Quinn's character for me

Narrator not so good

I couldn’t connect some of the voices to the characters in my mind. I really didn’t like the narration. 😞

Great Series

Love the family dynamics. Love the story I'm glad Anna & Quinn finally got together; they're definitely "Made for each other". Waiting to read the next book & Riley story. Thanks Samantha!

A fun friends to lovers novel.

Always My Girl lightens things up with Quinn and Anna's story. Sometimes less is more. Samantha Chase came back swinging with this hilarious take on romance. Quinn does not do well with change, so when his best friend turns the tables on him and goes from girl next door to woman of his dreams anything can happen. Always My Girl is a fun friends to lovers novel that proves the versatility of Ms. Chase. She can do it all.

Strong sweet romantic start but then...

The first 7 chapters are fantastic, funny, flirty, romantic with a tiny bit of a chase but By chapter 9 it was just boring, the tale had been told. It plods along with Anna, who has been not so secretly in love with Quinn since they were teens, acting as a huge doormat. After hearing what her brother reveals I wanted to throttle her for using her self-deprecation as a way of excusing Quinn's bad behavior.(Geez woman have you no pride at all?)

There is a bit of tension builder toward the end, good conflict that almost makes up for the snore in the middle and the end HEA is sweet.

Male Narrator was horrible

The storyline was great even the disagreements where practical and appropriete. After this and the first two I don't know if I am able to take this male narrator again.

Great narrators

This was my 3rd book in the Shaughnessy Brothers books. I like all the stories but especially love the narrators. They truly make me feel like I’m watching a movie rather than listening to an audiobook.

Good story

Nice interweaving of previous two stories. From a literary perspective, I admire the way the entire series plays as one big story with the different parts fitting in beautifully. I had been looking forward to Quinn and honestly thought their transition from friendship could have been developed a bit more. For that reason alone I found book 3 to be a bit shallow. The narration was perfect. Quinn sounded whiny because that’s exactly his character unfortunately. I don’t think he matured in this story. If this series was a quilt, I would call it beautiful. Well done Samantha.
