My poetry captures one moment, one slice in time, one flicker of emotion. Writing for me is not about describing a landscape or telling you what I think you should see. My poetry sculpts emotion and lets the listener absorb what they want from the poems. Poetry is boring, something your teacher made you read; my poetry is like breathing in a moment and tasting it for yourself.

Alone in the Light of Candles offers many beautiful short poems that are thought-provoking, soul searching, beautiful, and heartwarming. The poems may be short, but they definitely brought out feelings in me that I thought I had long since buried. The beautiful artistry in the written word is phenomenal. Brian Callanan voice and narration are soulful, soothing, and smooth he did a phenomenal job with every poem. I highly recommend this book. If you love poetry, you will not be disappointed.
I received this book upon my request, and I am truly glad I did. I am leaving my honest thoughts and review of my own free will.
