Great story main character makes me cringe

I really enjoy the Cirque du freak books but in e everyone ive listened to the main character Darren Shan always makes the worst decisions, does something that makes me cringe and get upset at him, while in fights hes always wondering about what his friends are doing, one point hes in a store and sees himself on tv and stops turns the tv up and listens to the full brodcast about police looking for him then turns and wonders why everyone is looking at him. Hes the main reason he gets his friends into silly issues even when hes told its wrong. Its a shame because the storys and other characters are great but the main character makes some of the dumest decisions.

Predictable, But Still Very Entertaining

I could see where this was going, but still very entertaining. I guess Mr Hooks was unexpected though. This is an enjoyable series and Ralph Lister does a very solid job. I look forward to the next book in this series.

A Suspenseful Climax

I was astonished and amazed by the number of people that have touched Darren's life. From old friends and lost love. To victims and villains. Probably the most drama that belongs in a Hallmark original, and betrayal that is worthy of an HBO debue.

Another set of questions. Does this count as one of their chances to kill the Lord of the Vampaneze? Will Debbie be alright? Are they doing to make it out of the tunnels alive?

Pretty Good

I accidently listened to the series out of order and started with Book 8.
This book was left in a cliffhanger but I assume they all are...
I will now start with book 1 - Cirque du Freak: A Living Nightmare. Book 8 was OK, not great but I did finish it and for me that says a lot.
IF book one holds my interest I iwll continue with the rest.
To help those of you who have issues with the order Here is the list. Hope it helps.
book 1 - Cirque du Freak: A Living Nightmare
book 2 - Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant
book 3 - Tunnels of Blood
book 4 - Vampire Mountain
book 5 - ?
book 6 - The Vampire Prince
book 7 - Hunters of the Dusk
book 8 - Allies of the Night
book 9 - Killers of the Dawn
book 10 - The Lake of Souls
book 11 - Lord of the Shadows
book 12 - Sons of Destiny

Nail Biting Suspense!

Wow! I thought the previous books in the Series Cirque du Freak were thrilling, this entry in the Series was even more than I could had imagined for young Darren Shan and Mr. Crepsley.

Narration is Top Notch, it is well written and should be of interest to anyone who Loves Vampire tales, no matter what age.
