Great listen and the heart of the story came through out the storytelling . You felt you knew the characters personally

SAD THIS SERIES WITH GRACE & RICHARD IS OVER…

I thoroughly enjoyed this last book in this series.

As a widow twice over, I truly felt everyone’s sadness at the loss of Richard and all the feelings at his memorial service. This book helped me better understand Richard’s mother and her “hands off” way of parenting. Richard’s father was a nice surprise as he had, in previous books, seemed loving enough, but gruff and distant. Both of Richard’s parents were definitely products of their own upbringings. Este - my heart truly went out to her. As Richard’s surrogate mother, she as a black woman during the time of segregation, had to endure the loss of “her” child in silence as she was only the “help.”

If I have one criticism of the book (series), it’s this: Grace is only 23 and Richard only 25. In my opinion they need to both be at least ten years older to experience all they did (that’s coming from my advanced age of 64, from where ANYONE under 30 is still a baby).😊

I’m sad that this series is over and that readers didn’t get to experience a wedding for Grace and Richard.

I hope author Jean Granger will consider doing ONE more book in this series to tie up the lives of so many other characters in this story — perhaps a book that takes place shortly after WWII ends. Lily/Chavonne, Bernadette’s daughter, Bernadette, Tilly… I need closure on all of them!

The narrator (while no Siobhan Waring), did an excellent job in this book — she did so many accents and did them WELL. I think perhaps I didn’t give Ms. Lennon enough credit in the first several books.

I highly recommend this book to others. It COULD be read as a stand alone, but would make so much more sense and would have so much more meaning if all the books in the series were read first.

Incredible series

I enjoyed every minute of this series and wish it could go on. It carried me to a wonderful other place which I loved.

Very great story. One of my favorites. I can't wait for book 7!! Do read this series.
