Publisher's summary

Deputy US Marshal Miro Jones has a reputation for being calm and collected under fire. These traits serve him well with his hotshot partner, Ian Doyle, the kind of guy who can start a fight in an empty room. In the past three years of their life-and-death job, they've gone from strangers to professional coworkers to devoted teammates and best friends. Miro’s cultivated blind faith in the man who has his back…faith and something more.

As a marshal and a soldier, Ian’s expected to lead. But the power and control that brings Ian success and fulfillment in the field isn't working anywhere else. Ian’s always resisted all kinds of tied down, but having no home - and no one to come home to - is slowly eating him up inside. Over time, Ian has grudgingly accepted that going anywhere without his partner simply doesn't work. Now Miro just has to convince him that getting tangled up in heartstrings isn't being tied down at all.

All Kinds Of Tied Down

Impressive! A real love story with lots of crazy humor and a relief to find one gay story with only 1 political statement! I want to be entertained and this story does it! The only thing I did not like was the mention of propaganda regarding religion! I know many gay folks that believe and follow our Creator! Other than that I loved these rascals! Thank You Mary and Tristan!

Lots of suspense, danger and gun fights!!

Hard to put into words with out spoiling it. I loved the way Miro pines away after his partner. The danger of their job as Marshals was crazy dangerous! The author mage you feel like you were right there watching the scenes as they played out. The ending has a twist with their boss that I never saw coming! Overall it was well written and I really enjoyed it!

Excellent narration

This is the best story this author has produced in several years, especially in the Chicago group of stories. The narrator brings to life the main characters' subtle nuances (Ian, subtle? 😄). The narrator really enhanced my enjoyment of a story I already liked.

Amazing

I loved the main characters . They had great chemistry from the beginning. There attraction was a slow sweet climb but worth it because the sexy action is delicious.
The narration made the story come to life. The narration made a great story even better.

Just wow!

I’ve had this in my library for almost a year and I could beat myself over the head for not getting to it sooner! This was really well done, great story, fun characters and a wonderful love. There are some points of contention but they are so minimal, it’s not worth mentioning. I can’t wait to start the next in the series to follow these Fellas onward :)

Great listen

This entire series is a lot of fun, especially if you like your books with a good mixture of mystery, romance, action and steamy sex scenes. Although I usually like books that have more frequent erotic scenes cos' I'm just greedy like that, the storyline kept me hooked and the buildup to those scenes was well worth it.
One aspect I really enjoyed was that you also really fall in love with the secondary characters because she does a great job of making them part of the story rather than just background noise.
I highly recommend!

Performance 3.5: So-So Narrative Voice

What made the experience of listening to All Kinds of Tied Down the most enjoyable?

When Tristan James stopped expositional narration. It's hard to judge a performance when the narrator does really good character work but has a somewhat annoying voice. When there was dialogue or the protagonist was expressing emotive thoughts, Mr. James's performance was a solid 4 stars.

What aspect of Tristan James’s performance would you have changed?

In my opinion, his voice is so lackadaisical that it constantly borders on bored and detracts from my enjoyment of the story. It's like he feels he has to give all the personality and color in his voice to the characters, and it's quite off-putting.

So Good

This book was so good. I loved the connection between the two main characters. Ian seems so strong and so confident, so it was nice to see this other side of him. I can’t wait to see where this new journey takes them.
