Heartful & Hopeful & So Beautiful

All I Wish is beautifully written, heartful, and emotional. I loved getting to know Chloe and Hawk. Their connection is electrifying! Hawk’s character is slow to reveal his layers, and getting to meet the real him is such a privilege. Chloe’s personality is so much like Zane’s, and she is hands down the perfect match for Hawk in every way. The dramatic moments are eloquently balances with softness and heart, and the ending is completely unexpected and also amazing at the same time. The narrators are on point with their performances, sweeping the listener along as if you’re right there in the story with them. Loved it!

A.K. Evans welcomes you back to Rising Sun, a small town in Wyoming, for another wonderful novel set in her “The Everything Legacy” series, a grumpy/sunshine, friends-to-lovers romance. This book is Chloe Cunningham and Hawk Kennedy’s story, a story that grabs your attention and tugs at your heartstrings right from the start. I adored the two lead characters, Chloe is impossible not to like with her kind and sunny demeanor, and Hawk, who is a closed-off grump, but that did not stop Chloe from trying to talk to him or show him acts of kindness. She had not known what his deal was, and he assumed everyone knew his story and that it was public knowledge. My heart went out to Hawk, for all he endured, before and after, and the cold treatment he received when he returned home. The poor man thought he was unworthy of anything good, and did not allow anyone in or get close to him, until he met her, and he almost did not let that happen either. Evans takes you on an emotional rollercoaster ride with this beautifully written and plotted story, a story with the perfect balance of drama, angst, witty dialogue and humor to lighten things up, heartwarming moments, a twist you never saw coming, heartfelt emotions, and a slow-burn but so worth the wait romance. Thank you for another wonderfully entertaining story.

🎧📚🎧 Maxine Mitchell and Troy Duran did a fantastic job voicing the characters and delivering a perfect portrayal of each. They embodied their characters completely, with Duran nailing it as the closed-off and grumpy Hawk, and Mitchell being just as fabulous as the sweet and kind Chloe, both showcasing their characters’ personalities perfectly. They were fantastic performing the roles of the side/secondary characters too. Their expressive performance conveys all the characters’ emotions, making you feel them all. These two are a superb pairing, with voices and talent that complement each other and an enthralling performance that rivets you to the story. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to.

Touching, heartbreaking and wonderful

Wow, this story is another wonderful one in the series.
Chloe Cunningham has worked hard to create a successful bakery. To test her creations, she shares them with her neighboring businesses.
When she meets Hawk Kennedy, the furniture assembler at the furniture store, she is smitten. But the gorgeous man barely looks at her. All that changes when he sees a man harassing Chloe.
From that moment on , a sort of friendship develops. But Hawk has a reason for keeping to himself. An action that changed his life forever and people’s perception of him, is somethings that will affect any relationship he has. But what he did, he did it for love, and would do it again.
Chloe doesn’t see the action as evil, but rather a man who sacrificed himself for his sister.
He knows if he gives the relationship a chance, it could affect Chloe personally and her business.
What happens when the unthinkable happens and once again decisions have to be made?
This touching and at times heartbreaking audiobook will have you routing for the underdog, and asking for justice.
This couple was sweet and wonderful and Chloe’s family was remarkable in their opinions of Hawk.
The narrators , Troy Duran and Maxime Mitchell, did a wonderful job in bringing the story to life.
Another winner in the series and this listener can’t wait for what else is in store next.

Great Listen!

I have been waiting for this book with the 2nd generation kids. I loved the first book in the series but this one got to me as I remember her parents story. This was emotional and such a good read and listen as I read the book too. I loved Troy Duran and usually pick up what books he does as well, I also enjoyed that this was a slow burn because it went well with the story.

Chloe & Hawk

From the moment Chloe set eyes on Hawk, she knew there was something special about him. While Chloe was warm, outgoing, and openly flirtatious, Hawk kept his distance, guarded by the circumstances that had shaped his life. Still, Chloe was determined to break through his walls and discover the man beneath the reserved exterior.

I loved watching their relationship develop as Hawk slowly allowed himself to trust Chloe and open his heart. Their connection felt genuine, and the fierce protectiveness they had for one another made their sweet romance even better. Hawk had been through so much, and it was incredibly rewarding to see him find the happiness he deserved with Chloe.

Maxine Mitchell and Troy Duran brought these characters to life beautifully. Their performances perfectly captured Hawk’s hesitation and emotional growth, as well as Chloe’s unwavering determination and affection. The chemistry between them was perfect.

This is a sweet, heartfelt romance with a touch of suspense that keeps you hooked. This one is definitely worth adding to your TBR.
