In this hyper-competitive, globally connected world, how do organizations and individual professionals stand out from the competition and engage their customers?

All Business Is Still Show Business reveals that the secrets and standards of the entertainment industry are exactly what every business in any industry needs to create distinction.

This is not about "fluff", comedy, or being flashy. It's a serious business book about a solid business philosophy that can make the difference for you and your organization.

Fifteen years ago, the original All Business Is Show Business offered a groundbreaking look at how to earn standing ovations from customers and employees in a rapidly changing marketplace. In this new "reboot" from the original edition, we realize that in a time where a former reality television star is now President of the United States - and movies are a significant part of our nation's exports - this principle has never been more applicable, or critical, for organizational and individual success.

You'll learn how the entertainment industry creates a powerful emotional connection with its customers; how they take a product that is not successful and turn it into a blockbuster; how they ensure repeat and referral business - and how you can do the same. From the author of a book named by several major newspapers - including the Miami Herald - as one of the ten best business books of the year, comes new and important insights that will significantly influence and impact you...and your organization. Because All Business Is Still Show Business!

I really enjoyed this book. It gave me a broader view on how I can be of great service to my customers.

A GREAT BOOK TO LEARN ABOUT GIVING VALUE

I’m not sure if I can put my finger on why, but I feel like I got nothing from this book. This is in stark contrast to every other business book I have read recently, which leave me feeling like I have actionable new methods to take with me and apply to my business. This book is basically just explaining the importance of marketing and selling you on the premise that a focus on Customer Experience is paramount. I am sure there are more useful books to teach you effective marketing, branding, and customer experience skills. Perhaps I didn’t find it useful because my background has been in these realms. The title of this book is so compelling and unique, I thought it was about something novel. The performance is too theatrical, making it hard to focus because it just feels like a 6 hour infomercial. Two specific novel things that I did get from this book are: the importance of pacing, and how today’s customers have all been brought up on Sesame Street - meaning all of consumers moving forward EXPECT to be entertained by interacting with your business. Definitely something to think about! But this book could have been a couple of tweets, my dude.

Fine, if you have never read a business book?
