Publisher's Summary

Revenge can become an obsession of its own. After her high school experience, Luna Ketz moved on. She's in college, studying to be a doctor, and lives an hour away from her old home in Lima, Ohio - where the worst of her memories lie. Three years have passed since her friend Violet's death and the thought of that day in the woods hasn't left her mind once. Every week, she visits the hospital where Chance Welfrey remains in a coma. She tries to move on...wants to move on...until once again, she receives a phone call from Max Cazmea warning her that things may not be over just yet.

Chance, having recovered from his recent coma, shows up on her doorstep. He has found a way into Luna's life that she cannot escape - he's dating her roommate, Amanda Grey. Back in her life once more, Chance has a list, and everyone on it ends up dead. As things escalate, Luna finds herself in a dangerous game of cat and mouse that will take all of her wits to survive.

This is NOT a stand alone book!

Okay admittedly, I haven't listened to the other books in this series..I didn't know about them. I offered to hear this one and review it. It wasn't for me. I think a younger audience perhaps..but I am older with grandkids and just didn't enjoy it. Most of the time I just wanted to smack the girl Luna for being so incredibly dumb. I want to see her turn into a total badass and not be such a victim. The guy Chance..the dreamworld?? Again not a stand alone book.

A wild ride

Having survived the hell that was High school and the events of the last book, and Luna has begun to put her life together while in college. As we know things won't just go well, and it isn't soon before warnings of bad tides come. Not long after that, a familiar evil from her past comes to haunt her again. What follows is both thoroughly engaging, twisted and thrilling through to the end. I never thought we would get some of the insights we get in this outing and it made for a very satisfying ending to this book. The narration by Katrina Medina was good throughout, I thought she had a good range and pacing for the story. Overall the book was a great continuation of the story with twists, thrills and enough craziness to make me really want to see what happens next in this series.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Very enjoyable

I found this audiobook to be very enjoyable. It has a great combination of suspense, mystery and action. The narrator does a wonderful job of reading and bringing the characters to life.

Good storyteller

First, I'll say start with book one. I liked the strength of the character, Luna and wanted to throttle Chance. How he escaped the police so much seems odd, but he does have some kind of dream powers, so I guess it's possible. I thought I could pick up with book two, but I found myself confused about what was going on. What I felt could have been improved to make this story stand on its own was more detail into what had happened in the previous story. There is reference to the previous characters that were killed, but not a lot of information about them or how they were killed. My bad I guess for not starting with book one. Based on the synopsis of the book, I expected more suspense. I think this author has great potential, and I'm sure if I'd started with book one, this story would have made more sense. I think my teenage granddaughter might like the book series, but in book form as she doesn't like audio books. I received a free audio book in exchange for an honest review.
