Publisher's summary

I know what I want from an Earth woman.

Someone to cry out my name with desire.

Someone to have my babies.

What I don't want is a wife.

The last thing I need is a distraction.

A delectable earthling makes me reconsider my plans. Perri is lovely. Curves, blue eyes, and ivory skin I want to taste. Her beauty makes planning to overthrow the corrupt government hard.

Very hard.

I terrify her. When I get close to her, she darts away. She calls me a rogue and a brute.

No one can talk to me this way.

I’ve only spent a single evening with the fiery female, but suddenly a wife is what I need.

She’ll scream. She’ll moan. She’ll writhe beneath me.

I’ll bend her to my will.

I’ll show her the pleasure of submission.

I’ll make Perri my queen.

Alien's Captive is a STAND-ALONE, full-length science fiction romance. There are no cliffhangers, and a happy ending is guaranteed!

Not What He Seems

I do enjoy the escapism of the Terramates stories, each one although based on the same theme manages to be different, in this one we have:-

Perri Coren, who wants to finally be happy, loved and cherished after she manages to leave behind an abusive relationship. Perri signed up with TerraMates to find her perfect match with an alien husband hoping she can make a new start. She is matched with Prince Rasulus Valorum, but unfortunately, it was not Rasulus who had enrolled in Terramates it was his brother, the King, who thought it would be amusing to surprise him with a bride! Hence Perri takes on the three-month journey to the planet Arietus to meet her new husband Rasulus.

When Perri's journey ends she is met and taken, she thinks, to Rasulus instead she is taken to a darkened room where it appears an orgy is taking place. She turns to leave, but a man comes toward her and starts pulling at her clothes to see what she looks like – she is shocked and reacts by slapping him, unfortunately for her, that man was King Crucis the instigator of this 'surprise' and a terrible man.

Rasulus returns to the palace but first, he messes his hair and clothing and for some reason pretends to be drunk (ths action is explained later) he is exhausted and just wants to go to his bed. Crucis tells him to come and see his new 'present' but when he goes to his brother's rooms, Crucis has a bruise on his cheek and there is an Earth woman chained to a pillar. He knows how cruel Crucis is and wants to protect her but if he tried to help her his brother would hurt her more so he makes crude remarks about her instead. He can't help but see the fury and hurt in her eyes as he starts to lead her away from Crucis and the courtiers. He wants to tell her not to resist him that he's not like his brother but can't say anything because he would be overheard so squeezes her hand twice, she seems to understand the situation and relaxes slightly but before they can leave Crucis tells him this is his bride and he cannot rid himself of her later. A marriage ceremony where she is claimed as his forever takes place before then they can leave.

Perri never knows what to expect, Rasulus puts up a front before everyone he pretends to be a drunken womanizer whenever anyone else is near, he is crude and rough but when they are alone he is gentle and kind - which behavior reflects his true personality? What is truly going on here? Is she safe, or has she entered into a nightmare situation with no escape?

This was an interesting storyline because Perri and Rasulus do have a connection in spite of their beginnings and over time Perri becomes stronger and is ready to deal with whatever was going on with her Prince.

As with all Terramates stories, the connection and the chemistry between the pair are hot and steamy and in this case when they work together.......

TerraMates Need To Protect Their Women Better!

TerraMates seem to be getting a little sloppy at vetting planets and potential suitors! Their way of finding soulmates works really well but the safety of their women need to be a priority! This was a unique story with a rocky start for poor Perri. She was promised one thing and was shocked at what awaited her in this new planet ruled by a horrible and disgusting king!

Narration was good and brought the story to life.

Lisa Lace is a very creative writer and her stories are always fun to read. Although things go terribly wrong for Perri at first, not all is what it seems and things slowly but surely get better and conclude with a sweet HEA.

An Amazing Alien Story

I have read many of Lisa Lace books and all of the TerraMates series. It was a pleasure to be given the chance to read this one as well.

Perri, an Earth girl, was sent to a strange world Arietus. This is a planet where the women have become barren causing the men to find other's to bear their children. Perri is promised to find her soulmate, one who will treasure her and protect her always.

Rasulus, prince of Arietus, wasn't aware that he was to get a new bride today. The king of Arietus arranged for Perri as a joke to his brother the prince. When Perri arrives, she is escourted to the king's court. When she got there people were openly being intimate with each other. The king decided to try and take advantage of her as well before calling Rasulus to him.

In the background you have a coup being planned. Rasulus isn't interested in having a woman tag along. Especially an Earth girl who doesn't understand the planet. He finds himself oddly attracted to her. For her own safety, he sends her away. She is forced to return to his side and shows great resilience to become a princess. However, she realizes she loves him and she isn't what he needs; so she leaves a note and takes off.

After she leaves the palace while he is out tending to king duties, he finds a note from Perri explaining her feelings and why she left.

In order to know what happens next, you need to get the book on your own. The book is narrated by a voice that helps you get right into the story. You feel the narrators emotions through her voice, almost as though you are seeing it through her eyes.

The Best So Far

Very good story and character development. Could have been carried through at twice the length.

great story poor narration

I love the stories but the narrator made characters sound like 90 year olds. instead of the young people they are.

One of Lisa Lace’s more boundary pushing stories!

Perri leaves her hell on earth only to arrive in another hell. She is unwittingly the punchline in a wicked Kings joke and is now the wife of a Prince who had no knowledge of his bride. Despite the terror she is once again being thrust in to she is unbelievably drawn to her new husband, Rasulus, who she suspects is more than he appears to be.

One of Lisa Lace’s more boundary pushing stories so it is beyond steamy hot!!!

An interesting plot for this one

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

Well Perry did surprised me on some ways, she was a fighter or did had it in her, Razulas was pretty interesting through it all.

Now there were points on the story I just wanted to kill them both really, sometimes they were infuriating, however I did understood some of they're motivations.

I love how far Terramates have gone, love the interesting stories and plot Lisa writes.

Rebellion

When a woman from earth goes to another planet to marry her perfect match, she doesn't expect it to be a playboy drunkard. But passion flares and she knows he is hiding something. That something is a rebellion to take over his cruel brothers throne and sure will be a pawn. Exciting story and romance. I received a complimentary audio and I am voluntarily reviewing.

I really liked this one.

I was given this book in return for my honest opinion and this was one of the best additions to Terra Mates. It had honor, respect, love, and yes hot love makin scenes. I am ready for more. Great story and Great narration. No weak woman needing to be saved in this story just her showing that she could handle herself. loved it!

She finds a good life as an alien's submissive!

She decided to join Terramates to find a good life in an Alien world and escape from her problems on earth. It sounded like it would be a great thing when she was mated with a Royal prince. When she gets there, everything is a little different than she thought it would be. This is another story in the Terramates series where each book, although based on the same premise of the Earth girl being matched with an Alien, shows a different type of relationship between the two main characters. The author has really offered quite a variety in this series If you enjoy Romance with a different twist, this is a book for you. Since the narration is quite good, is a very easy book to listen to.
