Acerca de esta escucha
Algernon is an anteater, but he is a very ingenious one.... He not only loves ants but especially chocolate covered ones. So, to find a supply of his new favorite food, he learns to read, to stand up tall, and to consequently join the circus!
This children's book is delightful, with a refreshing commentary describing Algernon's thoughts and his precocious stream-of-consciousness asides....
Meet Algernon the Anteater...you'll love him!

Wit, humor, and an insatiable craving
A is for Algernon is a short story full of wit and humor, and the audio narration brought it fully to life, which brightened my day.
Algernon is an ant-eater. “Ants were his passion, Ants were his thing!” He loves eating any kind of them, what color they are “made no-nevermind to him!” Then, a game-changer: A historic, life-changing moment when Algenon discovers Chocolate-covered ants, which changes his simple taste to a sophisticated one. His insatiable craving propels him to learn to read the label on the jar, in search of more supplies of this delectable treat. It becomes clear that such jars “don’t grow on trees!” Listen to his solution, and the transformation he undergoes, simply to get access to more Chocolate-covered ants…
Five stars.
