Editorial Reviews

Albert Einstein: The Scientists and Inventors Series opens with a dramatic reading of Einstein's earth-shaking equation: E=mc2. While recognizing that much of the brilliant physicist's work is beyond most listeners' comprehension, this audiobook handily illuminates Einstein's private and public life, teaching much about his cutting-edge scientific theories along the way. Performed by Guy Thomas alongside a full cast, the narration warmly illustrates how Einstein changed modern life, and why the German-born scientist is beloved by people from around the world.

Publisher's Summary

Albert Einstein: genius, humanitarian; wild of hair, sad of eye. He was untidy, generous, concerned, and absent-minded, the prototypical absent-minded professor. He was one of the founders of modern physics and a scientist most extraordinary; his laboratory was mostly a blackboard. Like Newton before him, Einstein's inspired theories led the way to much of today's technology, contributing basic principles to our understanding of molecular construction, atomic physics, time, space, and much more. He was a humorous, idiosyncratic, and curiously naive man of conscience, yet one of the greatest scientific geniuses in history.

Quantum Disappointment

Any additional comments?

Incomplete and horribly recorded (dramatization was at best annoying). I was looking to learn more about Albert Einstein as a person, as a child, as a husband, as a father, as a pioneer of Physics... I was hoping to find the human component of his life in this biography, the failures, the lessons of life he learned, the inspiration and the drive behind spearheading outrageous ideas. This is not the story I was looking for. Either Einstein's life outside of his field of study (and before it) was completely bare and uninteresting or this audiobook was a complete waste of money.
