Unsure of the point of this one

I've read other fairy tale mashups before. This is my first m/m romance version. I'm not entirely sure what the point of this one was. From a story standpoint, I found this to be pretty weak. The sex was steamy, but it felt a bit like the old porn pizza delivery boy trope, hey we need to get two people together so come up with a random event... The quest with the dragon didn't make a whole lot of sense to me overall other than a way to introduce these characters to each other. Maybe this one just isn't my thing.
