Publisher's Summary

Teagan O’Shea is a rare female dragon-shifter leader. While her Irish clan has a tradition of female leaders, they have had to hide behind a public male face for centuries to keep the other clans from viewing them as weaker and attacking. When the truth leaks, Teagan is faced with a choice - hand over the leadership to a male or invite the challengers to a leadership trial and earn her place. Out to prove having a penis isn’t required to be a leader, she picks the latter.

Aaron Caruso is sent to Ireland under the guise of repairing relations between two clans on the isle of Ireland. However, upon arrival, he learns the truth. Determined to secure Teagan’s place so he can escape her alluring eyes and addicting personality, he busies himself with helping her any way he can. A female used him once, and he’s not about to go through that again, no matter how much the Irish female tempts him.

As the pair work together on preparations for the leadership trial, both Aaron and Teagan start to see each other in a new light. Both have their own self-imposed loneliness and yearn for something they can’t have. Can Aaron and Teagan not only change tradition but also open their hearts? Or will they each be doomed to live alone to fight their inner battles?

ARC Audio Review- Aiding the Dragon

Ok, I loved this story! My favorite part of this book is seeing a strong confident woman stand strong and find her happily ever after. Gary Furlong did a wonderful job narrating as well. Especially with the Irish accents. I did miss Matthew Lloyd Davies nack at giving the different characters (including the dragons) their own voices however. I had to rewind quite a few times to make sure I knew who exactly was speaking. plus I can usually multi task while listening and I found couldn't do that with this story. Overall though I think Mr. Furlong did very well with this, and I am looking forward to seeing how the future of the many other characters play out and see how past characters progress as well! I would definitely recommend this book!

Aiding the Dragon

Oh My This was so good , it was so full of exciting things that will make you feel like you are right in the middle of this book. The Dragon's of this series are so sexy and willing to do what ever it takes to help their females. Loved it. Cannot wait to see what happens next.

Aiding the Dragon.

Aiden wasn't excited at being sent to The Irish Clan. He'd met the female leader and while he told himself it had nothing to do with her leadership. Her gender was another thing. He didn't have a good opinion about any female dragon shifter except his mother. He has a history to warrant the feelings.

Teagan didn't appreciate his attitude. Her clan was alone in having a female leader. Even so, the rest of the clans believed her brother led. Aiden was just another cocky male who didn't think she was strong enough to lead. She knew she worked harder, took on more, and made a personal effort to deal with her clan than any other leader. Just once, she wished a likely male would see it.

Their dragons knew it wasn't gender discrimination. It had a lot to do with gender and hormones and the steam created when they were together. I really enjoyed the first challenge. The payback was an interesting beginning to their growing relationship.

The author has given us a dragon's eye view of a current day and reality in this enticing story. The characters are strong yet each has a soft center damaged by past relationships and fear of new ones. I loved their hedge to give into their attraction. The heat interspersed with teasing, threats, and one-up-manship. Watching them come to terms while dealing with danger, life threats, family issues, as well as the threat of leadership loss. Both characters are strong and fun and I loved them.

The narrator did a stellar job with the different accents and characters. He is not the one she normally uses and was so pleased he was just as good as her usual narrator.

I was delighted to know that there will be more coming up with the relationship evolving from this story in at least one future story. This is another gold medal winner from Jessie Donovan.

Different Narrator

I love the story but I almost lost interest in the book because of the Narrator. When you get use to one narrator telling the story and when someone knew comes in; it changes everything.
I did finish the book and I was happy that the original narrator was back for book 10.

great story, great narrator

Love the author, story and narrator. The narrator's voice is easy and pleasant. Could work on dragon voices a bit more but all in all very enjoyable.

Teagon and Aaron

I loved this book! I liked how Aaron learned to let go of the past and let Teagon in. And it was nice to see a clan run by a female dragonshifter!

Disappointing

I love this series but this one didn’t measure up. It lacked some of the character development of other books but, more importantly, it lacked the humor, the warmth and the passion of previous books.

The narrator was mediocre - rather unemotional. The characters were overwhelmingly Irish but with only the vaguest accents.

Aiding the Dragon is a wonderful twist!

An Irish dragon-shifter clan!💚 Teagan is a rare female dragon-shifter leader, but her clan has always had to hide behind a male face. Because a female leader is seen as weaker than a male. The truth comes out, and she chooses to prove her worth!
Aaron comes to “repair” relations between 2 Irish dragon-shifter clans. But chooses to help Teagan in her battle of proving her right to lead.
Both have chosen to be alone, but in their journey together they begin to see the other as more than a certain type.
Jessie Donovan writes such compelling books that you will not want to put Aiding the Dragon down. Now will you stay up to finish the book tonight, is the question.

Wounderful

As of all of Stonefire Dragon books by Jessie Donovan this one did not disapoint.
Aiding the Dragon book 9 was wounderful.
It did sound different with Gary Furlong narrating it. He did a good job though.
I recommend all these books.
Thank you Jessie Donovan.
