Campy

Short stories alone were disappointing but the effort to recreate in a modern time was contradictions of all things Agatha Christie.

Too Little Provided

I love myself some Agatha Christie Mysteries. I try, but I haven't won a case yet! This production didn't do her justice. It didn't include enough of the mystery to make it enjoyable. It skipped too much. Just didn't help connect the dots. More frustrating than enjoyable.

Murder of Agatha's style

They changed so much it's not worth it. I have listened to very many of her books but it's by far the worst.

Butchered AC classics

Entertaining performances but the experience was marred by the absolute butchering of AC's classic stories. Some adaptation or changes is ok but these were bent and twisted to be 'modern' and somewhat 'fashionable' to a crude degree.

Some performances overdone and lots of erratic screaming that really wasn't necessary.

Great if you are not familiar with AC's work. Steer clear of you are.

Didn't care for it

They adapted the stories to the point that they bear almost no resemblance to the Agatha Christie stories they are based on.

New Stories. Well Performed.

I had only heard one of the stories before. They varied from drama to comedy to supernatural. Most were not murder mysteries but I enjoyed them all.

Modern stories

Modern stories with modern themes. Not enjoyable. Cast does a nice job. Not what I expected.

Not what I was expecting

The acting and narration were great. The stories simply weren't interesting. Each mystery lasted about a half hour, and was populated by 2 to 4 characters - making the plot easy to decipher. In addition to this, plots were updated for modern consumption (cell phones and internet). I was not impressed.

BBC has another wonderful production

Agatha Christie with mostly modern adaptations--absolutely brilliant! You will love these short stories. The voice actors truly bring her magnificent writing to life member
