Publisher's Summary

Reese Hamilton has big plans to help make the world a better place and a new job lined up to help her do it. Before starting work, she heads to England for a Regency immersive experience. She doesn't expect her best friend to invite her heart-destroying brother to join them, and two years haven't been long enough for Reese to forget him. Then fae magic rips them back to 1850. It's a time when women have few rights. It's also a time when a determined woman could make a difference, with the right man at her side. Reese finds she must make a choice between two men and two times.

Jem Taylor messed up big when he walked away from Reese to pursue his dream job. He hasn't been able to forget her and jumps at his sister's invitation. Suddenly hurtled into Victorian England, he has the chance to woo Reese again. But to do it, he'll have to fight the magic that brought her to that time - and an Earl with the means to keep her there.

Magical!

This was a magical, feel good time travel story by Donna Weaver. Her characters are strong and well thought out. The time travel aspect was very entertaining and Aunt Nellie was a fun addition. It was interesting getting the point of view through the eyes of a modern American female cast into regency era times where women are treated as chattels. I really liked the way Reese never lost her spunk or independent nature and was even able to help, not only her new friend, but a village of people. I found myself keeping my fingers crossed that Reese and Jem Taylor would end up together in the end. The story did end on a bit of a cliffhanger so hopefully there will be a sequel. Kathleen Corbin did an amazing job with the narration. Her voices were distinct and easy to differentiate and she put emotion into her voice wherever necessary. This was definitely an enjoyable listening experience.

A magical hop through time! Very good!

I really like time travel romances and this is quite delightful with the twist that it has. The story involves the use of magic and the faie. The author has definitely created an unique plot. I will be looking for more books in this theme of time travel. The narration was easy to listen to. A great way to spend Time.

Wonderful read

With the Magic Against the Magic (Twickenham Full-Moon Ball Romance Book 1), my second read from author Donna K. Weaver and my first in the highly enjoyable Twickenham Full-Moon Ball Romances, was a highly enjoyable romance. I wish I could get more read & review books in this series. I was given an Audible copy of this book and am voluntarily reviewing it. Kathleen Corbin's narration adds to the enjoyment of the book. I'll be reading more from her as I already own 8 more of her books. A well-written story from a very good author. No spoilers from me. You need to buy and read the book then leave a review. Fun, clean regency romance with a twist

What a great story! This was such a fun and clean regency romance with a twist. Loved the time travel and seeing the regency era through a modern day character. The narrator did great with the different characters as well. Definitely looking forward to the rest of the series.

Excellent story

This is a great time travel, period romance. It not only gives you a feel of the Regency period but also illustrates well the difference in attitudes and expectations between then an now, all wrapped up in a enchanting romance. The narrator did a truly excellent job of drawing you into the story, her accents were authentic and she did both male and female voices well. I loved Reece’s refreshing character, she is strong willed, independent, caring and unable to mind her mouth. The relationship she formed had depth and her reactions appeared true to life. It was an excellent romance with great narration that left me wanting more stories in this world. I will look forward to more Twickenham Times audiobooks

Timeless love story

This was a cute and adorable time travel story. It was fun to see how modern day people gave innovative ideas and made some people see they are worth more than they think. The love story between Clarice and James was entertaining, it took them being swept into the past to admit their feelings.

A trip to the past to find your future love

A trip to London for a chance to embrace the Regency era with lessons to prepare you for a grand ball. Everyone in their group has a different reason for going. But Jim Taylor didn't figure on competing against a Noble . He only has to convince Reese that not only his is love sincere but he will never abandon her like her father had and he must do it before she decides to remain in the past. Lots of fae magic and potions and a fun.

I enjoyed the narration by Kathleen Corbin. She provided a wonderful English accent that was also easy to understand.

Time Travel at it's Finest

I love the series! I read the books first, but I do have to say Kathleen Corbin brings the characters alive making it like your right there as either one of the characters or as a ghost standing next to them as the story unfolds. If your one that lives to be swept away into a story this the book for you.
