Original story idea

I really enjoyed this. It was a unique and fun story with memorable characters. I am genuinely excited to see what the author comes up with next. Definitely a good pick for any sci-fi fans.

Could not stop listening.

I particularly enjoyed the characters, and appreciated getting to hear the author's own assignment of their accents and speech patterns beyond descriptions provided. There were elements of the Borderlands games that surprised me in this novel which I found welcome and enjoyable. As an ex Christian I reveled in the social commentary.

Absolutely love this book!

Robert Evans paints a terrifying yet exciting picture of a possible future of the United States. Extremely re-readable. Highly recommend.

Based and Rolandpilled

I think my favorite line was the throwaway bit about the Edmund Fitzgerald. Overall pretty great book.

More Please

Thoroughly engrossing. I already want to spend more time in this universe and see how everyone's story grows and unwinds.

Perfect, can't wait for the sequel!

I've listened to this three times, and I'll listen again. It's very rare for me to get into fiction but Robert Evans knocked this out of the park! His narration is fantastic, and the sound effects add so much to the atmosphere without being a distraction.

Yes, there are ads every few chapters but it keeps the book free. The characters feel real, the world feels lived in, and the plot twists are brilliant. Can't say it enough, listen to this book!

Excellent Story, Setting, and Style

This book felt like a mishmash of Neuromancer and Fear & Loathing with a bio-punk twist. Definitely a great read.
