Publisher's Summary

The sexy, emotional sequel to the NYT best seller Night After Night...

Their world was passion, pleasure and secrets. Far too many secrets. But Clay Nichols can't get Julia Bell out of his mind. He's so drawn to her, and to the nights they shared, that he can't focus on work or business. Only her. And she's pissing him off with her hot and cold act. She has her reasons though - she's trying to stay one step ahead of the trouble that's been chasing her for months now, thanks to the criminal world her ex dragged her into. If only she can get out of this mess, then maybe she can invite the man who ignites her back in her life, so she can have him-heart, mind and body.

He won't take less than all of her, and the full truth too. When he runs into her again at her sister's wedding, they have a second chance but she'll have to let him all the way in. And they'll learn just how much more there is to the intense sexual chemistry they share, and whether love can carry them well past the danger of her past and into a new future, after this night...

Please note: The listening order for the Julia and Clay novels in the Seductive Nights series is Night After Night, After This Night, and One More Night.

Loved it

This was really well done and a little different than Lauren Blakely's other books. Interesting storyline and good romance. Narration was great- dare I say better than Sebastian York??

Book 2, Just as great as book 1!

This was a second listen for me and it was better the second time around. Clay & Julia are off the charts HOT!!! I love that they are so honest with each other and when they aren't it's just to protect the other one. Clay is sweet and honest & his dominant side is SO hot! Julia is a bad ass who can take care of herself and she knows exactly what she wants. Their story is beautiful. Considering this is narrated by only 1 guy, he does an awesome job on both Clay & Julia!

Highly Recommended!

HOT!!!

Could this book be any hotter? The answer is no! I could not stop listening to this book. After This Night continues with Clay and Julia's story. The heat in this book will set you on fire! Clay is a good man among boys! This quote says it all. "Every woman should be jealous of you because of how I feel for you. Because no man has ever wanted a woman like I want you. No man has ever craved a woman as deeply as I crave you. And no man has ever fallen this hard and this fast for a woman." Swoon worthy!! Can Julia get over her fear and trust issues with men and open up to Clay? You must read this amazing book to find out!

Not bad

This series is ok -- not my favorite but worth the credit. I'm not sure where they will go from here as this seems like a wrap to me but we will see.

ALTHOUGH PERFECT FOR EACH OTHER THERE'S SECRETS

I went back and listened to Night after Night which is the first book in Clay and Julia's budding love story of instant chemistry, instant lust and instant soul mate connection because sadly books 2 and 3 slipped by me and so it's been nearly a six month gap between books and I'm so thankful that I did as I'd forgotten a lot about their personalities and their story - anyhooo.....

This was a good continuation to the dilemma that faced Julia as she had to choose between holding on to the love of her life, letting him go to protect him or sharing her story with him knowing he hates lies and secrets so she could lose him anyway. And she's still being used and threatened by the Mafia money lender and he ups his threats to more devastating and deadly ones.

Dual POV's, narrator was good but I think his female voices could have been better, there's angst, drama, guilt, a few fractures in their relationship which they always thankfully got over by lots of emails back and forth between them saying in the written word what they couldn't say in person, a nice romance with some tender moving words, dirty talking and lots and lots and lots of hot sex.

Worth a credit? Yes, it's totally unrealistic (but I didn't care), Julia annoyed me at times (but I forgave her) and there was maybe too much sex (with some over descriptive 'juices' issues)..... but despite everything I still really enjoyed it. And I'm now eagerly off to listen to book 3 to see what fate has up her sleeve to cause the two happy lovers more grief and heartache.

Julia and Clay continue.

In the second part of Julia and Clay's story, things are looking up. Julia finally decides to open up to Clay and, later on, her loved ones. Clay makes a bit of a hypocritical move making Julia second guess their relationship. Realizing his error and not wanting to lose her, Clay gets her one of the things she wants most in the world, with some help from his friend Cam and the IRS. The ending of this book seems very HEA, despite knowing their story isn't over yet. I am curious to see where the story goes from here. Lauren Blakely has packed drama, love and sex into both Night After Night and this book. I'm curious where the drama aspect will come from in One More Night now that Julia and Clay are in such a great place, both as individuals and as a couple. This book cannot be read as a stand-alone. At the very least, you need to read Night After Night before embarking on this one. That being said, I believe you could let the story end here if you so choose. At the end of the book all parties are happy and whether or not there's cliffhanger is debatable. Once again, Josh Goodman's narration was excellent. He has a fantastic voice.

Entertaining, but it’s a one time listen

Entertaining, although it dragged a bit in spots. Both Julia and Clay were at times unbelievable in their over-the-top reactions to situations that rational people would simply have talked through, but hey, it’s a romance. As well Julia’s insistence on not asking for help to deal with the financial situation she was in was difficult to swallow.

Is anyone else tired of the literary technique of a back-and-forth email/text conversation that includes all of the to/from/subject/date before each text? It was tedious the first time I saw it and has appeared in several books since. It is especially irritating in audiobooks where the narrator spends more time reading the header information than reading the body of the message! I skipped a couple chapters during theses segments, I couldn’t be bothered putting up with the tedium.

I thought....

I thought it was a bit dramatic when she got pissed at home for not telling her about him paying that awful man off. I would have been nothing but thankful and appreciative but then again I would not have allowed things to get as far as it did. I mean why not just borrow the money from him and pay him back and that would have saved a ton of BS. I get the point of it all but still, It was bit to dramatic. Other than that it was a decent book. not the best but not bad. could of had more explicit detils in love making department also. Lol
