Publisher's summary

"It's Stephen King meets Hannibal Lecter!" (Manuel Carreon best-selling author of Simple Machines)

“That moment when the soul separates from the body—I can see it, and that’s my vice. I feast on it, as they walk with Death.”

“Who are you?”

“History will know the name—I am John Varnum!”

Women are missing, and multiple lie dead, a serial killer preying on the innocent. As if that weren’t bad enough, the town of Mecklenburg is forced into lockdown after a medical helicopter crashes into the Colorado mountains carrying the deadliest plague known to man, ultimately spreading through the town like wildfire.

Mecklenburg faces a terrible race against time to stop the killings, save the missing, and find the cure to save the town.
